STORY

Sonic Triple Trouble was Knuckles' first appearance in a Game Gear game. Similar to Sonic 3, Knuckles just makes life difficult for Sonic and Tails, who are the only playable characters. Robotnik had all the chaos emeralds, but because of one of his bots, the emeralds were scattered. Knuckles doesn't trust anyone with chaos emeralds so he joined the hunt for them. Nack the Weasel (a.k.a. Fang the Sniper), figuring that the gems are valuable, also joins the search for the chaos emeralds. If you play as Tails, you have to defeat Knuckles in the Tidal Plant Zone. In the end when you fight Robotnik in the Atomic Destroyer Zone, you have to free Knuckles, who'll shake hands with you.
