This game is a compilation of the following Genesis/MegaDrive games (some must be unlocked): Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Knuckles in Sonic 2, Blue Spheres, Sonic Spinball, Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Sonic 3D Blast, Flicky, and Ristar. The Japanese version also contains The Ooze and Comix Zone.

As far as extras, there are pictures of characters; movies for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Advance 2, and Sonic CD; and a history of Sonic section. This game also contains a re-print of Archie Comic's Sonic Firsts and the covers of every Archie Sonic comic (Sonic, Knuckles, specials, and mini-series) up to Sonic The Hedgehog #110.
