GETTING KNUCKLES

After playing Ice Cap with either Sonic or Tails, head toward the waterfall in the Mystic Ruins. Beat Knuckles & Chaos 4, then you can play as Knuckles.

ITEMS

Shovel Claw: It's in the cave near Tails' workshop. You'll have to get it before being able to get to Red Mountain (Knux' third action stage).

Monkey Switch: In the cave with the shovel claw, there's a mound in the tunnel (not the one with the trolley as that leads to a chao garden). Once you have the claws, dig to get the switch and then use it to destroy the monkey to get out of the cave. Then carry it to the entrance to Red Mountain because you'll need it to get into the stage.

Fighting Gloves (Optional): They're in the jungle, which you can get to after beating Sonic & Chaos 4. Two quick ways to get them:
1) Go down the ladder and keep to the right while walking. When you get to Big's hut, climb straight up the wall and eventually you'll see a ledge, which is where you'll find the gloves.
2) Instead of going down the ladder, just glide into the wall on the right and then have Knux climb in that direction. Once the camera turns it'll be to your left and eventually you'll run into the ledge.

Silver Statue: Climb down the ladder and of the 3 paths, take the leftmost path. You'll see a fork in the path after a few moments, keep to the right and you'll see a path covered in greenery. Go in and there will be a mound (just like in the cave in the Mystic Ruins by Tails' workshop) in which you'll have to dig to get the statue.
