Episode 5: Trouble on South Island
   Sonic and the gang put the boat into the water and all of them 
hopped in 
and started paddling. "This sure beats swimming," said Sonic. "I gotta 
ask 
you something Sonic," said Knuckles. "Yeah, what is it?" Sonic asked. 
"Why 
are you afraid of water anyway?" Knuckles asked. "Something happened 
when I 
was a kid," he answered. "What?' Knuckles asked. "None of your damn 
business!" Sonic yelled. "Fine be that way," said Knuckles. All of them 
started relaxing a bit while still setting off to South Island. Mighty 
and 
Espio were playing arm wrestling, no doubt Mighty won, Vector was 
kicking 
back and listening to heavy metal, Amy was admiring the ocean and the 
fishes, 
Charmy, Tails, and Ray were flying about in a circle laughing, Tiara 
and 
Julie-Su were chitchatting. "So Julie-Su," said Tiara. "What Tiara?" 
she 
asked. "Do you know anything about the Chaos Emeralds?" Tiara asked. 
"Nope," 
Julie-Su answered. "I heard about them, but I never seen one before. I 
also 
heard from from my grandpa that they have awesome power." "How long 
have 
these Chaos Emeralds been around?" Tiara asked. 
   "I'd say about 2,000 to 10,000 years," replied Julie-Su. "2,000 to 
10,000 
years!" Tiara said with surprise. "That sure is a lot."
As they continue to South Island to find the Chaos Emerald, meanwhile 
on 
South Island--Robotnik has already arrived and attacked the villages so 
he 
can get the first Chaos Emerald, but had no luck. "Arrgh!" he snarled. 
"I've 
here for the past 5 hours and still no Emerald." "Don't worry master," 
said 
Mechercules. "I'm sure it's here." "These villagers are hiding it," 
said 
Robotnik. "I just know it." "If they are hiding it," said Metarachnoid. 
"And 
not giving it to you the easy way, I suggest the hard way." "You always 
suggest the hard way Metarachnoid," said Tankbot. "You two are always 
bickering," said Viper. "Let them fight," said Beta. "We can't stop 
them 
anyway." "Are all of you through?" Robotnik asked. All of them face 
Robotnik. 
"Good," he said. "Before we begin, where is Cloak Ninja?" "I am here 
master," 
he said appearing out of nowhere.
   Beta, Metarachnoid, Viper, Mechercules, Cloak Ninja, and Tankbot are 
Robotnik's main henchmen and have their own special abilities: Beta has 
strong defense, Metarachnoid has a powerful energy web, Viper has great 
speed, Mechercules has great strength, Cloak Ninja has the power of 
invisibility, and Tankbot has many arsenals in his possession. And they 
call 
them The R-Series. 
   Meanwhile on a nearby beach they arrived. "That sure was relaxing," 
said 
Amy. "Sure wasn't for me," said Espio. "Mighty, you nearly broke my 
hand." 
"heh, I guess I don't know my own strength," said Mighty. All of them 
began 
walking and then Sonic checked the Emerald Tracker. "Let's see here," 
he 
said. "The Green Forest should be some where close by." "It looks like 
it's 
this way," said Sonic pointing northwest. "Let's go," said Tails. 
"Let's go," 
said Sonic. They started walking in the direction of where Sonic was 
pointing. As they were walking little that they know, they were being 
monitered. "What is this?" Robotnik said rubbing his chin. "It looks 
like 
that hedgehog is here. And he brought his friends here too." "Shouldn't 
we 
destroy them?" Metarachnoid asked. "Indeed," Robotnik replied. "And I 
want 
you Metarachnoid, to set up a trap for them." "Yes, master," he said as 
he 
left the Egg Carrier. "Why does get to go?" Tankbot asked. "You 
should've 
picked me instead. I blow them away so hard, they won't know what hit 
them." 
"Calm yourself Tankbot," said Cloak Ninja. "Who you telling to shut 
up?" 
Tankbot said. "You wanna fight or something!" "Hmmph!" Cloak Ninja 
said. 
   Meanwhile back at the beach the gang were still walking in the same 
direction for the past 15 minutes. In a few minutes they arrived at a 
small 
village, one that has been attacked by Robotnik. "I wonder who lives 
here?" 
said Amy. Then the Emerald Tracker began beeping loudly. "The Emerald 
is 
around here somewhere, said Sonic. "Let's check that village over 
there." All 
of them ran toward the village. "Hello!" Knuckles shouted. "Anyone 
here?" 
Then out of no where a gorilla jumped out of nowhere with a machine gun 
in 
his hand. "Argh!" he growled. "Whoa!" they all yelled. "Who are you?" 
the 
gorilla asked. "Were looking for the Chaos Emeralds," said Tiara. "So 
you 
work for Robotnik!" he snarled. "You got it all wrong," said Julie-Su. 
"Grr," 
he growled. Guerilla Army, attack!!" Just then even more gorilla came 
out of 
nowhere and were carrying machine guns. "I think we're in trouble," 
said Ray. 
"You think," said Charmy.
