------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------ With the Good Comes the Bad By: SnowPuppy Kay-Si was rocking in her rocking chair feeding baby Moonwatcher from a milk bottle. She was looking out the window, it was raining. Today sure is a rainy day, She thought, I hope Steppenwolf is doing okay out there. When Moonwatcher was finished eating, Kay-Si took the bottle out of his mouth and replaced it with a pacifier. Soon Moonwatcher got tired of the pacifier, and Kay-Si took it out. Then she sat him down on the floor to let him play with his blocks. He cooed, and began playing. Kay-Si smiled at her only son, and looked out the window again, the rain pouring down angrily. She heard thunder, and started to worry even more about her husband. She shivered and got a blanket to keep warm. The thunder scared Moonwatcher, and he started to cry. Kay-Si picked him up and rocked him. Soon he was fine again, and wanting to play with his blocks. Kay-Si sat him back down, and sighed, looking out the window. She heard the door, and was glad that Steppenwolf was finally back in. She saw her sopping-wet husband come in. She quickly put on a worried face. "Okay, okay! Next time I'll wear a raincoat." Said Steppenwolf. "AND, take an umbrella?" Said Kay-Si. "And I'll take an umbrella." Said Steppenwolf with a sigh. Kay-Si was finally satisfied. Her husband had listened to her for once. Kay-Si then heard a knock on the door, well, more like a bang than a knock. Who could that be? Kay-Si wondered. She went and opened the door. She then saw a female, yellow echidna standing in the doorway. She scrunched her face up;she had no idea who this was. "Oh, sorry for not introducing myself. I'm Vycky-Na." Said the yellow stranger. "Okay, but what are you doing here?!" Asked Kay-Si. "It's the storm. I'm lost and so far away from home. I dont know where I am. I'm cold, and freezing. I have no where to stay for the night. Nobody will let me in their house. I'm so cold! Please help me." Said Vycky-Na. "Um, ok. What d'ya think, Steppenwolf?" Kay-Si asked her husband, now walking over to his wife. "She can stay, but only for the night. The storm should be over by tomorrow." Said Steppenwolf. Vycky-Na's freezing cold cheeks lit up with warmth when she saw Steppenwolf. She stared at him for awhile. "Um, aren't you going to come in?" Asked Kay-Si, getting impatient. "Oh, yes!" Said Vycky-Na, heading in. "You can sleep in Moonwatcher's room for the night. I'm sure he wont mind. I'll find some blankets and an old pillow for you to lay on. Okay?" Said Kay-Si. "Yes." Said Vycky-Na. Kay-Si set up Vycky-Na's bed-for-the-night and told her this is where she would be sleeping. Vycky-Na, pretty tired right now, nodded and yawned, laying down on it. When Kay-Si exited the room, Vycky-Na got up. "They think I'm only staying for a night. But I will stay longer... I was only going to stay one night, but when I saw that handsome husband of her's.. I just had to stay. They can't stop me. She will see. By tomorrow, she will be thrown out of here. Then Steppenwolf will be MY husband and Moonwatcher will be MY son." Said Vycky-Na with an evil grin. At 9:00PM, when Steppenwolf came in from guard duty, Vycky-Na had a plan. "I will get her to run an errand for me. Then I will talk Steppenwolf into divorcing her... and then he will be all mine. The perfect plan! She will no longer have her luxury-life with the guardian." Said Vycky-Na happily. Vycky-Na then called Kay-Si into the room. "What is it?" Asked Kay-Si. Vycky-Na then noticed her mistake. She hadn't thought of what kind of errand she wanted Kay-Si to run for her. She only knew that she had to be gone long enough so that she could talk Steppenwolf into divorcing her. "It's my backpack. It has all my important stuff in it... and I lost it somewhere outside. Will you please look for it for me? I would do it myself... but I think I'm catching a cold." Said Vycky-Na, thinking fast. "Okay... I will look for it." Said Kay-Si, sighing, heading out of the room. Vycky-Na waited until she heard the door shut, then she called Steppenwolf into the room. "What?" He asked. "I need to talk with you. About your wife." Said Vycky-Na. "What about Kay-Si?" Asked Steppenwolf confusingly. "Right, right. Kay-Si. Well.. this might come as a shock to you, but.. I dont think you should be married to her any longer. I think you should divorce her. She is just using you, because you are a guardian. I saw her write that in her diary." Said Vycky-Na. "What?!" Said Steppenwolf. "It's true. Sad to say." Said Vycky-Na. They heard the door. Kay-Si was back in. She came in the room. "Sorry, Vycky, but I couldn't find your backpack." Said Kay-Si. "Is this true?" Asked Steppenwolf. "Is what true?" Asked Kay-Si. "Is it true that you are just using me.. that the only reason why you married me is because I'm a guardian? Thats what Vycky-Na has been telling me. She said you wrote that in your diary." Said Steppenwolf. "No! I'm NOT using you. I would never do that. I didn't marry you because you are a guardian. I married you because I LOVE you. And its true. I LOVE YOU." Said Kay-Si tearfully. "Well Vycky-Na told me otherwise." Said Steppenwolf. "Well she's wrong! I dont know where she got such an idea.. and besides, I dont even have a diary!" Said Kay-Si. Steppenwolf blinked. She was right. He never saw her writing in a diary before. "Steppenwolf! Please! Believe me! I'm not lying. I love you with all my heart and soul. I will never love anyone else as much, and I would never use you just because your a guardian! I would never ever use you for anything! I'm not using you! Believe me! I love you!" Said Kay-Si. "She's lying! Just trying to cover-up! She dont love you! I'm the one that does! Leave her for me!" Said Vycky-Na, blurting out everything. "That explains it. Everything. I bet Vycky-Na just made this whole story up. Because she so-called "loves you". She is just trying to get me away from you, so she can marry you, and so then she will be the wife of a guardian. She is the one that once to use you.. please believe me. I have never done anything but love you. We have shared our love.. and you know that, and you know that we both love each other." Said Kay-Si. Steppenwolf looked deep into Kay-Si's eyes. They were swelling up with tears, and she had a worried look on her face. He looked deep in her eyes, and he knew she was trying to tell him all the love that existed for him in her heart. He then looked at Vycky-Na's eyes. They were filled with anger and hatred. The word "liar" was spelled all over her face. "I have come to a decision." Spoke up Steppenwolf. Yes! This is when he will throw that Kay-Si out and propose to me! My plan worked, I knew it would! Thought Vycky-Na. "I know who's telling the truth, and who's not. It's obvious, because the words are right there written all over their face. I know that my wife is telling the truth;she has done nothing but love and be loyal to me. I love her, with all of my heart too, and nothing is going to change that. No one will break us apart. We are husband and wife, and should stay like that. We love each other, and no one by the name of Vycky-Na is going to change any of that." Said Steppenwolf. Steppenwolf looked at Vycky-Na with anger filled in his eyes. "GET OUT!" He shouted at her. She trembled, and walked out of the room, and out of the house, and right back outside, into the cold, where she belonged. "Thanks for believing me." Said Kay-Si. "Kay-Si, I will always believe you. I know you are not one to lie to me. I love you and will protect you from people that want to tear us apart." Said Steppenwolf. "Thank you." Said Kay-Si, crying now. "Hush. Everything will be fine. You should get in bed now. You've had a long night and need your rest." Said Steppenwolf. Kay-Si nodded, and headed towards their bedroom. She collapsed in bed, and fell fast asleep. When she woke up, she looked out the window, and saw a surprising sight. The night before had been rain, but it had gotten worse and turned into snow. Worse than snow, actually;it was a real blizzard out there! She ran in the living room where her husband was getting ready for guard duty. She was frightened. Steppenwolf soon noticed the worried look on her face. He reassured her that he would be just fine, even if it was a blizzard out there. He kissed her and headed out. Kay-Si went to check on Moonwatcher. Moonwatcher was just waking up. She picked him up and cradled him for awhile. His crying soon stopped when she fed him breakfast. Then, just like the night before, Kay-Si sat down Moonwatcher to play with his blocks while she looked out the window. After awhile, she picked up her book to begin reading. But Steppenwolf didn't come back in. He was gone for an awful long time. Kay-Si began to get worried. She decided to go out and look for him... but what about Moonwatcher? She called her sister Nick-Ol to come over and babysit while she was looking for Steppenwolf. Nick-Ol agreed. Nick-Ol came in(she didn't live very far away from her sister.), and sat down by baby Moonwatcher. Kay-Si then went out to look for her husband. The wind was terrible. It was blowing Kay-Si's dreads, and her echidna-hair, around like crazy. It was terrible weather. She wondered and wondered where her husband was. She kept looking. The wind blinded her, so it was hard for her to see clearly. She was glad that she had brought some stuff that would come in handy. That stuff included a pair of sunglasses. She put them on, and could see better, for the strong wind wasn't blinding her eyes anymore. But the wind was still blowing hard at her, and it was hard for her to run, or even walk for that matter. Then she saw something that caught her eye. It was a body laying in the snow;snow had fallen on top of the body, it looked like there had been an avalanche and whoever that was was in the way of it. All Kay-Si could see of the body was a hand, but she knew that a body was there. She ran to it, and removed the snow as quick as she could. What she saw shocked her. It was Steppenwolf! And there was a terrible gash right accross his forehead. It was bleeding terribly. From what I've read about avalanches, not very many people survive from them. Thought Kay-Si, looking at Steppenwolf's fallen body. She felt his chest. He wasn't breathing. Kay-Si looked at his body, which seemed lifeless. She cryed and cryed, tears streaming down her cheeks, for it looked hopeless for Steppenwolf to survive. But even if it does seem hopeless, Thought Kay-Si, I still got to get him out of here, because he still might be in there somewhere. And if I dont get him out of here, then he WILL die for sure! Kay-Si picked up Steppenwolf's body, which was heavy, and which slowed her down. But she couldn't give up;no matter how much her body was aching at this point. Finally, she reached their house. She opened the door, and brought Steppenwolf in. She closed the door, and collapsed on the floor. Her sister looked down in shock. What was laying before her was the lifeless body of Steppenwolf. Kay-Si loved her husband, and wanted to do everything she could to bring him back. She called the medics, and while waiting for them to arrive, got out her own doctor kit. When she used her stethoscope she found out that Steppenwolf's heart wasn't beating. Tears swelled in her eyes and new ones streamed down her cheeks, getting rid of the old, dryed-up tears. Her whole face was stained with tears. She got some medicine out of her kit and put some on a piece of cotton. She then dabbed it on the gash that was accross Steppenwolf's forehead. Hopefully the medicine would help heal the infected cut. The medics then rushed in. Kay-Si was so glad that they were there. She then noticed that Em-Ma was still the head medic. "It looks like it's revearsed. It was always you that were hurt, and now its your husband." Teased Em-Ma. "Thats not funny. This isn't the time for jokes." Said Kay-Si tearfully. "Sorry. Let me take a look at him. What happened?" Said Em-Ma. "He was in the way of an avalanche.. and it all came crashing down on him." Said Kay-Si, really not up to telling the whole story. "Yes, yes, we understand. We must get him to the hospital quickly. We could lose him at any second. And it looks like most of his bones are broken. We'll have to check that out, too. Okay, everybody, get him out of here! Get him to the hospital A.S.A.P.!" Said Em-Ma. "May I come?" Asked Kay-Si. "Yes, your his wife, you should be there for him." Said Em-Ma. Even though Nick-Ol didn't know Steppenwolf well, she hoped he would be alright. She didn't like seeing her sister like this. It scared her. She gladly babysat for Moonwatcher while her sister and her sister's husband were being taken to the hospital. Kay-Si looked at her husband's lifeless body while being taken to the hospital. Then there was a hopeful sign. Steppenwolf's heart had a faint beat;their only hope was to not let that faint beat stop. When they got to the hospital, Steppenwolf was being rushed to the emergency room. More tears came down Kay-Si's already-stained-with-tears face. Her worst nightmare was coming true... all of this, it was a living nightmare. If he dies, I dont know what I'll do! If he dies, so will I. Thought Kay-Si fearfully. Steppenwolf's heart was getting fainter by the minute. "We're losing him! We need to act fast!" Said Em-Ma. Kay-Si knew her husband's life was hanging by a thread. If he let go of that thread, his life would be gone with the wind. Kay-Si looked at her husband frightfully as Steppenwolf was fighting for his life. Em-Ma told Kay-Si that Steppenwolf's left arm and leg were broken. The avalanche had damaged most of Steppenwolf's left side. Kay-Si went to her husband's side and began crying. She didn't know what to do if she lost him. She then saw a good sign;Steppenwolf was moving his head back and forth slowly. His eye's slowly opened, and they faced Kay-Si. Kay-Si's heart leapt as she saw that Steppenwolf was conscious and finally showing signs of life. "Kay-Si..." He said weakly. Kay-Si looked down at him. "You came in contact with an avalanche. And you must rest to gain back your strength." Said Kay-Si. Steppenwolf's whole body was aching with pain. He was never in so much pain in his life before. He was moving around, and breathing hardly. Em-Ma told Kay-Si that he must stop because he could easily get a heart attack and die. Kay-Si told him to stop. He did. But he was still breathing hard. His whole body was aching, including his chest, and thats why he was breathing so hard. The medics had no choice but to put him back to sleep. So they did. Kay-Si hoped and prayed that Steppenwolf would be alright. After awhile, the medics told Kay-Si that they have done everything they could for Steppenwolf. All he had to do now was wake back up. Kay-Si looked at Steppenwolf;his left arm and leg were both in a cast. And there was a big, white bandage above his left eyebrow where his infected cut used to be. Kay-Si was just looking down at him, not saying anything. He was breathing alright now, and his heart was getting stronger, but it wasn't a complete good sign until he woke up, because if he didn't wake up then that might mean that he's brain-dead. But Kay-Si didn't want to believe this. She wanted to watch Steppenwolf until he woke up. Finally, his head started to move, like it had done before, except a more stronger movement this time. He opened his eyes and Kay-Si was happy;he was alive, and alright! "How are you?" She asked him. "I'm alright.. thanks to you." He told her. "Me? What'd I do?" Asked Kay-Si. "Along, long, time ago, you told me to hang on to our love, and I would never die, as long as it wasn't time for me to die. And here I am... alive. I fought death, like you told me to, and won. Like you always have. Now I know what you.. went through." Said Steppenwolf, his voice still a little weak. "Well all that matters to me is that your okay." Said Kay-Si. Steppenwolf rubbed his left rib. It was sore. "Steppenwolf... everything will be alright now, wont it?" Asked Kay-Si. "Yes.. I still feel intense pain, but not as bad as last time.. I'm sure I'll be.. just fine." Said Steppenwolf. "Good." Said Kay-Si. As weeks went by, Steppenwolf got better. His leg and arm healed quicker than somebody's broken bones usually would. And the gash on his forehead healed, too. He was soon back to normal. Kay-Si was most glad of this. As months passed, so did a whole year. Soon Moonwatcher had his second birthday. He cooed as he began to realize that his special day was here again. He wasn't as messy with the cake as last time, but he was still a little bit messy. Espicially his face. "For goodness sakes, the cake is everywhere but your mouth." Said Kay-Si cleaning up the chocolate mess while Moonwatcher giggled with delight. After his party, Moonwatcher had to take a bath. He was filthy! With chocolate cake, of course. Kay-Si began to wonder if he even got any of that cake into his mouth. But Moonwatcher didn't mind the bath;he liked to play with his toys in the water. His favorite toy was his brand-new one;the small, yellow rubber duck. He began to say his next word: Ducky. "Ducky for baby! Ducky for baby!" He said as he hugged the little toy. Kay-Si nodded, and when he was finished with his bath she had to clean up the kitchen;which was also a mess. "It's hard to believe that last year his mess was even messier than this." Said Kay-Si to herself, cleaning up the last bit of chocolate cake she had missed. She was tired, and she put down the mop for a bit. She went to go in the living room, sit down, and read her book, like always. Moonwatcher was happy playing with his toys in his new playpen that he got for his birthday. Steppenwolf was coming in from guard duty. He looked at his family and smiled. "So, the party is finally over?" He asked. "Yes, and the mess is finally cleaned up." Replied Kay-Si. "Well, I'm sure he will stop making those messes by the time he's three." Said Steppenwolf. "I sure hope so." Said Kay-Si. After that, they were silent for awhile. Until something unexpected broke the silence. Moonwatcher squeezed his rubber duck which made a squeeky sound, which made the whole room burst with laughter. Moonwatcher was delighted. But then he yawned, and Kay-Si knew it was time for his nap. She picked up the sleepy toddler, and put him in his crib. Now that he was two, he didn't cry as much as he used to, and he got used to putting his own self to sleep by himself, when he was sleepy enough, that is. He yawned and layed down in his soft bed. Kay-Si put the covers over him. She watched him close his eyes and suck his thumb while he fell asleep. Kay-Si heard the door. She knew Steppenwolf was going back out for guard duty, knowing that his family was safe for the time being. After that, Kay-Si heard something she thought she wouldn't;she heard the phone. Who could that be? No one usually calls here. Unless it's my sister. But she dont talk alot, so why would she wanna call me? Thought Kay-Si confusingly. She picked up the phone. "Hello?" She said. There was silence for awhile. Finally, whoever it was spoke. "Hello." Said a deep, gruff voice. "Who's this?" Asked Kay-Si. "...Wouldn't you like to know?" Said the voice. "C'mon! Who's this?!" Said Kay-Si, getting annoyed. "You really dont want to know, ma'am." Said the voice. "YES I DO!" Said Kay-Si. "Nope." Said the voice. "Okay, whatever. Why are you calling?" Asked Kay-Si. "I'm calling, to tell you something." Said the voice. "What?" Asked Kay-Si. "I hear your son's birthday is today." Said the voice. "Yeah, so?" Said Kay-Si. "Well... if you ever want to see your precious, darling son again..." Said the voice. "WHAT?!" Said Kay-Si nervously. But she couldn't hear anything more. The phone was all static. Kay-Si put it down. What did that person mean by that? Wondered Kay-Si. Kay-Si only knew one thing: That voice was talking about Moonwatcher, and she had to protect him if it was planning to take him! She ran in his room, and looked in his crib. What she saw startled her;Moonwatcher was GONE! She started to panic. How could someone take someone so fast? She didn't know what to do! She ran in the living room, hoping that he just got out of his crib somehow. But he was no where to be found. Then she heard the door. Steppenwolf is coming in! She thought, What am I going to tell him? "Hey. How's Moonwatcher?" He asked her. "Well... ummm..." Began Kay-Si. "Is he taking his nap?" Steppenwolf wanted to know. "Well... not exactly..." Started Kay-Si. Steppenwolf headed for Moonwatcher's room and Kay-Si followed. Steppenwolf soon noticed the empty crib. "Okay, Kay-Si, whats going on?!" Steppenwolf asked her. "I got a phonecall." Said Kay-Si. "A phonecall?" Steppenwolf said, raising his left eyebrow. "Yes, I got a phonecall from somebody. They said "if you ever want to see your precious, darling son again..."" Said Kay-Si. "And then?" Steppenwolf asked. "Then all I could hear was static. And before I knew it, Moonwatcher was gone." Said Kay-Si nervously. "Oh my--! We've got to find him, who knows where he could be!" Said Steppenwolf. They called the police, and they were searching for young Moonwatcher. But so far, no sign of him. Kay-Si went into a state of panic. She cryed and cryed, much like the time she thought Steppenwolf was dead. Everybody on the island was looking for Moonwatcher. Kay-Si then had a terrible thought: What if he fell off the edge of the island? I may never get to see him again! Kay-Si cryed and cryed. Pretty soon, her whole face was dryed with tears. Steppenwolf told her not to worry, and that they would find their son. But deep down, he wasn't too sure himself. "Mrs.Steppenwolf Echidna" Spoke Officer Loren. "What?" Kay-Si wanted to know. "It seems that your son has been kidnapped. He's not lost, because if he was then we would have found him by now. We've searched the whole island. He was either kidnapped and the kidnapper is in hiding and has Moonwatcher with him, or he has fallen off the island. We will search for the kidnapper, if there is one, if that would make you feel better, ma'am." Said Officer Loren. "Yes, please." Said Kay-Si in most panic. "Okay. I'll tell the others to do so. In the meantime, keep calm. We're not sure of anything yet." Said Loren. "How can I keep calm when my only son might be dead?!" Blurted out Kay-Si. "Ma'am, we're not sure of anything. We dont know if he's dead or not." Said Loren. Kay-Si then thought back to that phonecall. If you ever want to see your precious, darling son again... It scared her, but it also gave her hope, for maybe Moonwatcher didn't go off the edge of the island after all. And, Kay-Si was right. Moonwatcher was just fine and dandy. Though, if they didn't act fast, he wouldn't be. His kidnappers were Vycky-Na and her brother Ronnald. "If they ever want to see their precious, darling son again, they'll tell us the secrets of the floating island." Said Vycky-Na's brother, Ronnald, holding up a gun to Moonwatcher. "And they better get here fast if they know whats good for them." Said Vycky-Na, blowing a bubble from her bubble gum. "Yeah, and if they dont get here by midnight tonight, Shorty gets it." Said Ronnald. "Yeah, and not only the island secrets, but I'll have Steppenwolf. If he and his, wife, know whats good for their precious little son, Steppenwolf will divorce Kay-Si and tell us all the island's so-precious secrets." Said Vycky-Na, rubbing her hands together. "Yeah, what a great plan, Sis!" Said Ronnald delightfully. "Yeah, without me, you'd be in the gutter, Bro!" Said Vycky-Na. "I wonder where dey are, I'm getting impatient!" Said Ronnald. "Why dontcha give 'em another warning on your cordless phone there, Ronnie? That should get them here and get things a-cookin'." Said Vycky-Na. "Yeah yeah, right, Sistah." Said Ronnald, dialing Kay-Si's number on his cordless phone. Meanwhile, at their house, Kay-Si and Steppenwolf were waiting and waiting for a call from the police. Steppenwolf put off his guard duty just because of it! Ring! Ring! Went the phone. "Oh I hope thats the police." Said Steppenwolf, grabbing the phone. Kay-Si nodded her head in agreement. Kay-Si also hoped that it wasn't a report that Moonwatcher had been found dead. She hoped that he was alive and safe. "Yes? Is this the police?" Said Steppenwolf through the phone. "No." Said a voice over the phone. "Then why are you calling? We are waiting for a very important phonecall, and you should know that because everyone on the island does! Dont you care about this?!" Said Steppenwolf angrily over the phone. "Well, actually, no. We're the kidnappers. We got Moonwatcher here, and he is safe.. for the time being, that is. Get over here at the Old Ruins! It's our hideout. But dont think we're giving you back your son for free, now." Said the voice. "How could you?! Oh you bet I'm coming over there!" Said Steppenwolf slamming down the phone. Kay-Si watched with shock. She had never seen her husband this upset before. When they got to the Old Ruins, Steppenwolf and Kay-Si saw something they never thought they'd see. It was Vycky-Na! And someone else! "Vycky-Na?! I thought I'd seen the last of you! And who's this, your boyfriend?!" Said Steppenwolf angrily. "Well, actually, Steppy, you HAVEN'T seen the last of me. Boyfriend? Hardly! That's my brother Ronnald!" Said Vycky-Na. "Dont call me Steppy! And give us back our son, right now!" Said Steppenwolf with most anger. "No, no. You dont seem to get it, do you? Ah, of course not! Either you tell us all of the island's secrets AND divorce your, um, WIFE, there, or your son, how can I put this, IS DEAD MEAT?" Said Vycky-Na. Steppenwolf stared at her with hatred. "Give us Moonwatcher, Vycky!" Said Steppenwolf. "Steppenwolf, Steppenwolf, Steppenwolf. Like I told you, if you want your son back, you got to do us some favors first." Said Vycky-Na. "He is certainly stubborn, isn't he, Sis? Well lets he how stubborn he is if he see's his own son die before his very eyes!" Said Ronnald, pointing a gun at Moonwatcher. "NO! Steppenwolf... as much as I hate to say it, you must do what they ask. Go ahead... divorce me! I will still love you! Just save our son, please!" Said Kay-Si, sobbing hardly. "I cant do that, Kay-Si! I love you both! And neither one of you will be taken away from me!" Said Steppenwolf. Kay-Si then heard something she never knew she would. It was that voice! That voice that only she could hear;that voice that she had heard so long ago way back when her and Steppenwolf weren't even married yet(check out the story "Steppenwolf's Girl" for more information!)! Kay-Si... listen, and listen good. One wrong move, and your son will be taken away from you. So you must do what one has to do in a situation like this. You and Steppenwolf.. you must combine each other's feelings together to create power strong enough to destroy the one's who want to kill your son. Hold on to your feelings, dont let them go. Try with all your might, and everything will be fine. Kay-Si's only choice was to listen to what the voice was telling her. "Steppenwolf" She began. "What is it, Kay-Si? This is very important here. Our son could be killed at any minute!" Said Steppenwolf. "Yes I know. But I heard that voice again. It told me that me and you had to both hold on to each other's feelings and combine them to create power strong enough to destroy the one's who want to kill our son. We have no choice but to listen to it, Steppenwolf!" Said Kay-Si. "But they just got through telling me that they made this place Chaos-Proof! Which means I can't use my powers of the Chaos Emerald to take them out." Said Steppenwolf. "Yes but we have to listen to the voice! It's never been wrong before! Trust me on this one, please!" Said Kay-Si. "Okay. You ready?" Said Steppenwolf. "As ready as I'll ever be." Said Kay-Si. "Okay, then, grab my hand." Said Steppenwolf. Kay-Si did what she was told. She then felt funny. She saw green light surrounding her and Steppenwolf. She felt her hand slip. She heard the voice again. Kay-Si, dont let go of his hand no matter what! If you do, all will be lost, and it wont work! No matter how much she wanted to let go, she held on tight. Her hand was filled with pain. The pain is negative forces trying to pull you and Steppenwolf apart. Hold on tightly! And believe in the positive forces! Kay-Si didn't know what happened there, but she felt something happen. When she opened her eyes, she and Steppenwolf were collapsed on the floor. She looked around, and spotted Moonwatcher. And Vycky-Na and Ronnald were no where to be seen. Steppenwolf looked up and noticed that his family was alright. "Come on, lets go home." He told them.
