------------------------------------------------------------------------------  ------------ The Story Of  Terri-Sa  By SnowPuppy There was once a female echidna named Terri-Sa. She was considered the  "history echidna" for she knew a lot about echidna history and she had  a device that let her go back into the past. One day, she was walking  along on the floating island, for a lot of things that happened in echidna  history took place there. She met up with the guardian, Knuckles. Knuckles  didn't think of her much as a threat, because she went around examining  everything on the floating island. Knuckles took her as "weird", and he didn't  bother her. Then, when Terri-Sa had examined everything she needed to, she got  out her device that let her travel back through time. Knuckles noticed  this. "Hey, whats that?" He asked her. "Oh, its just a device that lets me travel back through time." Terri-Sa  replied. "You shouldn't have that." Knuckles said. "Why not? It's not a threat to your island." Said Terri-Sa. "It's a threat to history!" Said Knuckles. "If you travel back through  time, you can change a lot of things around. And changing things around can  be dangerous! Our history would change!" "So?" Said Terri-Sa, carelessly. "Well, what if you made a terrible mistake? Like, what if you changed  something around where I or some other guardians would never be born?  Or where all the guardians where your going gets killed? There would be no  more guardians!! That thing is dangerous, and you shouldn't use it!" Said  Knuckles. "Look, tough guy, I have went into the past lots of times. And if I did  change any thing around, it was nothing bad. And besides, when I travel  back in time, thats where I learn a lot about echidna history! And I'm  training to be the best echidna that knows their history real well! And I'm going,  whether you like it, or not." Said Terri-Sa. "No your not, not if I have anything to do with-" Knuckles began, but  he was cut off. Terri-Sa had already set the device to the place she wanted to  go back to, and she already pushed the button! She was gone. "NO! Come back!! You cant!! Oh where is a going-back-in-time-device  when ya need one?!" Said Knuckles. Meanwhile, Terri-Sa was watching time go back as she was spinning  around. She knew she would stop spinning when she was there. The spinning was beginning to make her sick. "Maybe I shouldn't have  gone so far back." Terri-Sa thought. Spinning had always made Terri-Sa sick. She then found out she was finally there. She gasped for air,  and fell  on the ground. She stretched and breathed a big breath. She then got up.  She looked around. She was on the floating island, but it looked different  from the one in the present time. She walked and walked, as she wondered  what guardian she would meet up with. For she only knew how many years she  went back, she didn't know how many generations, so she didn't know which  guardian was the current guardian in this time. But before she went any further,  she decided to stop for a drink. She sat down by a river, and cupped her  hands so the water would stay in her hands. Then she put the water in her mouth.  She kept doing that for a while, for she was really thirsty. She then took  her shoes and socks off, and put her feet in the water. "Ah..." She said. She washed up and then put her socks and shoes back on. She stretched  and looked up at the sky. "Wow, what a beautiful day it is here in the  past!" Said Terri-Sa, still stretching. But what she didn't notice was her  device that let her travel back in time fell in the river. It was now going  downstream, and by a fast speed. Terri-Sa was in BIG trouble!!! She  couldn't get back into the present time without that device! And if it broke,  she'd be in even bigger trouble. But she didn't notice that it was gone. Meanwhile, back in the present time, Knuckles was trying to figure out  what to do. He had to get Terri-Sa back into the present time! He looked  into a bunch of books, and he finally found a book that told how to make a  device to go in the past! So he made one. He then went back into the past, where  Terri-Sa was.  Terri-Sa soon found out who the current guardian was. It was the second  guardian of the floating island, Steppenwolf. "Wow!! I must've REALLY gone back in time!" Thought Terri-Sa. She watched Steppenwolf from the bush. He was going to bed. It was  late.  "Where's my notepad?" Whispered Terri-Sa to herself. Her notepad was  where she recorded everything that happened while she was in the past. "Oh, I  must've left it back in the present time! I will have to go to the  present time again, and get my notepad." Said Terri-Sa to herself.  "Now  where's my..... ITS GONE! My device that lets me go back in time is GONE!!!!!"  Said Terri-Sa, looking for it everywhere. She then noticed that Steppenwolf  stirred. "I have to be quiet." She whispered. "I dont want to wake him  up."  She searched around for it, thinking she dropped it somewhere on the  ground, but she couldn't find it. "Oh, I cant see out here! Its too dark! I'd  better wait until morning to find it." She said with a sigh. She looked around  for a good place to sleep for the night. She finally decided that right by  the bush where she was at was the perfect place to sleep. She layed down on the  ground, and closed her eyes. But what she didn't think about was, that  in the morning Steppenwolf could wake up before her, and find her behind the  bush, because it was right near where he was at. But Terri-Sa was too tired  to think right now. She fell into a deep, deep sleep. Meanwhile, Knuckles was still looking around for her.  "Oh its no use! I'll never figure out this stupid thing!" Said  Knuckles. He was back in the present time. He fell down  on the ground, and decided  to give up for the night. All this thinking was giving him a headache. Meanwhile, back in the past, the sun was rising. Terri-Sa rubbed her  eyes.  She was'nt by the bush any more. She was in a room with bars around  her. She then thought, and found out that Steppenwolf had found her.  "So your awake." She heard Steppenwolf say. "Um, yes." She said, shaking. For she knew that Steppenwolf was one of  the best guardians. And not just because of that. Terri-Sa had a *secret* crush on Steppenwolf. Even though she knew he  was already married. But then it hit her! Maybe she traveled back in time  so far, that Steppenwolf wasn't married yet. Maybe she had a chance of her  dreams coming true, of marrying him, her dreams that seemed so unlikely to  happen.  But then she remembered what Knuckles had said about changing the past.  She'd be changing it if she married Steppenwolf. And any guardian after  Steppenwolf wouldn't exist. But still, she loved him so. And she couldn't give up  her many dreams. "Hello?" Said Steppenwolf. "Oh! S-sorry." Said Terri-Sa. "I've never seen you around here before." Said Steppenwolf. "My n-name i-is t-t-Terri-Sa." She said, stuttering. "Were you spying on me from the bush?" He asked her. "No, no! I wasn't. I was j-just l-looking f-f-for a place to r-rest."  Said Terri-Sa. "Why are you stuttering?" Steppenwolf asked Terri-Sa. "I'm cold?" Said Terri-Sa, trying to make up an excuse. Steppenwolf  couldn't know of her secret crush on him;not now! "I believe you at your word. But if I see any threat in you whatsoever,  you will wish you were never born." He said. Steppenwolf let Terri-Sa out. She went out and sat by that same bush,  thinking. "Oh, Steppenwolf, my love. I love you so dearly. And I would  sacrifice the true present if I could be with you! I love you more than  anything!" She thought in her mind.  Obviously, it seemed that Terri-Sa didn't care that any guardian after  Steppenwolf wouldn't exist if she married him. She didn't care at all.  She also didn't care what happened to her. She waited until he was asleep,  and she crawled out of her spot behind the bush. She was starving, she had  no breakfast! For what she did all day was think about Steppenwolf. She  ate before going where Steppenwolf was. Then she snuck in his room, and  looked at him. He was asleep. Terri-Sa reached down, and gave Steppenwolf a kiss.  She didn't care if he woke up or not. This was the oppurtunity she had been  waiting for! She kissed, and kissed, and kissed, never stopping to take  a breath, she wanted this kiss to last a lifetime. Without stopping,  without even letting Steppenwolf breathe! He pushed her away, and gasped for  some air.  "Why'd you do that for?!" He said, staring right at her. "I was sleep walking and thought you were my boyfriend?" Terri-Sa said,  trying to make up some excuse. "It all makes sence now. You stuttering. You kissing me. You have a  crush on me, don't you?! Admit it!" He said. "Okay, so I do!" She said.  She then walked over to Steppenwolf, and kissed him again! He tryed to  push her away, but she wouldn't stop. She just kept kissing. He tryed to get  air.  Terri-Sa finally stopped.  "Stop that!" Said Steppenwolf. "You almost killed me!" But as the days went by, Terri-Sa and Steppenwolf became closer and  closer.  And in the present, Knuckles was starting to vanish.  "I knew it! Terri-Sa screwed up some how! I'm not going to....  exist...." Said Knuckles, then he disappeared.  In the past, Terri-Sa got proposed to. Her dream was coming true... she  accepted. But what she didn't know was, all the guardians after her  fiance were disappearing; they weren't going to exist. And another thing,  Terri-Sa didn't know that doing this could be dangerous. She didn't stop to  think. Her head was high in the clouds, thinking of nothing but her dreams finally  coming true. She decided to stay in the past, never to go back to the  present. But all of a sudden, she couldn't see anything! Everything got  dark.  "It's not even nighttime yet!" She thought. Then she saw Knuckles. "Terri-Sa, what have you done?" He said. Then she saw all the other guardians after her fiance.  "We are starting to vanish, because of you. Once you two get married,  we will be out of existance fully. Right now we are just partially out of  existance. But once you marry, thats it. We will be gone, forever. And it will be  all your fault." Said Knuckles' dad, Locke. "Terri-Sa, I dont want to not exist! I have so much to live for! I'm  the current guardian! You must stop this marriage, so the past can go about  like its suppose to!" Said Knuckles, panickingly.  "I'm sorry, but I'm NOT going to stop it. I love my fiance! My dream is  to marry him! I have to! I love him! You cant stop me!" Said Terri-Sa. "Terri-Sa, you HAVE to do as your TOLD! This can be very dangerous,  changing around time! Who knows what harm you can do! You got to stop the  wedding!" Said Locke. "Maybe.. your..... right....." Said Terri-Sa, sobbing now.  "Don't cry! Don't cry!" Said Knuckles. "I can't help it! What am I going to tell my beloved fiance? I can't  tell him all this! There is no way.. he would.. believe.. and oh I love him so  much! I can't call it off! I love him... so ...much!" Said Terri-Sa. "Terri-Sa, your absolutly CRAZY!" Said Knuckles. "Steppenwolf is a good guardian. He will stop the wedding if he thinks  it is a threat to future guardians. And you will just have to accept that  fact." Said Locke. "NO! How would  YOU feel if the one you love had to be taken away from  you?! How would you......... FEEL?! HUH?!" Said Terri-Sa, sobbing more loudly  and hardly. "There are other fish in the sea..." Began Knuckles. "NO! I love this fish! Um, I mean, echidna! I love him sooooo much! You  can't stop me from loving him." Said Terri-Sa, tears streaming down her  cheeks. "Terri-Sa, your fiance is HISTORY. He doesn't live in the present. He  had some one else for a wife. He loved his wife! You can't stop him from  meeting the one he loved! You are doing something terrible to your fiance, and  if you loved him so much like you say you do, you wouldn't be doing this to  him. You would call off the wedding. You would say it was never meant to be."  Said Locke.  "I guess so..... but I love him, my heart will be broken... but I  can't do this to him. But what about my broken heart? Oh what am I going to  do?!" Said Terri-Sa, sobbing hardly. "If your wise, you'll do the right thing...." Said Locke. They were all disappearing. She now found herself laying on the ground.  She looked up. There was her fiance, Steppenwolf! "Why are you crying?" He asked her. "Oh, I have to tell you something...... I can't marry you. It was never  meant to be. You were meant to marry some one else... not me. I can't change  the past. I have to cancel the wedding." Said Terri-Sa. Terri-Sa then felt something strange. Everything was disappearing. She  woke up, by the bush?! It was all a dream, every bit of it. She was still in  the past, though. And she never met Steppenwolf.  "Oh, I got to get out of here, before I DO meet Steppenwolf!" Said  Terri-Sa, running quickly. "There you are, Terri-Sa!" Said Knuckles, holding a back-in-time  device.  "Oh, Knuckles, take me back home, to the present." Said Terri-Sa. Knuckles pushed the button, "reverse". Knuckles and Terri-Sa felt  themselves spinning. Then they landed right back in the present. "Knuckles, I had a terrible dream. I dreamt that me and Steppenwolf  were about to get married. I dreamt that you and the other guardians almost  didn't exist! Oh, but I still wish I could've married him. But I know I did  the right thing. Oh, yeah, that was all a dream, too." Said Terri-Sa,  crying. "That wasn't a dream...." Said Knuckles. "What do you mean?!" Said Terri-Sa, looking confused. But Knuckles just  walked away, without saying more.  "Wait!!" Said Terri-Sa, but she finally gave up, and decided to go  home. And ever since then, Terri-Sa wonders what Knuckles meant to this very  day. THE END ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
