Eternity By:SnowPuppy The Echidna family was relieved to know that Sweetheart only had a bad stomach ache. It seemed that Kay-Si's sister Nick-Ol had forgotten that dogs aren't suppose to have chocolate. Kay-Si wrote a letter to her sister with a list of things that are appropriate for a dog to eat. Kay-Si then went outside for a walk, for awhile. She needed some fresh air. Vycky-Na was watching close by with a rope in her hands. She was at it again! Can you believe that she hasn't gave up yet? "I have the perfect plan this time," she mumbled to herself, "and this one is guaranteed not to fail." What's Vycky-Na's plan this time? Well, lets see what else she has to say. "All I've gotta do, is separate those two," She said. "And I'll just have to do it myself, they're definatly not going to separate on their own." Vycky-Na watched Kay-Si pick some ripe oranges from a nearby tree. "She has no idea whats coming! She's so unaware of her husband's future disappearance. And I'm going to make that disappearance happen now. All I've gotta do, is find Steppenwolf alone, and then tie him up with this rope I've got here. If he can't move, he can't do anything to stop me. Then, I will take Steppenwolf far away from here. Far, far away. Off the island, and somewhere else. We will take an airplane, and go to a lake I know of. It's pretty far away. And I will then try to get him to change his mind, and divorce Kay-Si. But if he doesn't change his mind, then I'll just leave him there. And he won't be able to get back to his wife, because he'll be so far away from her! This plan will not fail, I'm sure of it!" She said to herself. She waited, and waited, for Steppenwolf to be alone. It was not easy. Vycky-Na couldn't capture Steppenwolf while he was on his guard duty, and when he wasn't on his guard duty it seemed like him and Kay-Si were always in the same room. Finally, when Kay-Si got up to make dinner, Vycky-Na had her chance. Steppenwolf was the only one in the living room;his wife had gone to make dinner, and his son Moonwatcher was doing some errands. And also, Dylan was in his room doing something, Vycky-Na wasn't quite sure what, and Lynz-Si and Harlan were taking their nap, but it really didn't matter if they were in the same room as Steppenwolf, because they were very young and they couldn't do anything about the capturing. But Vycky-Na was glad that Dylan wasn't in the same room as his father, for even if he couldn't do anything about it, he could still call his mother into the room, or he could make time for Steppenwolf to get away from Vycky-Na. Vycky-Na then knocked on the door and waited for a response from Steppenwolf. She tapped her foot impatiently until she heard the doorknob turning. Vycky-Na immediately got out the rope and was ready to spring into action the moment she saw Steppenwolf standing there. And she did. With a quick leap, Vycky-Na tied Steppenwolf up in the rope and dragged him out the door, which wasn't easy. Steppenwolf isn't exactly someone you would enjoy dragging around. Then they got off the island. Yeah, your probably wondering, 'how did they do that without a guardian's ability to glide?' Well, I'll tell you. Vycky-Na just *happened* to bring a helicopter, and she put Steppenwolf in it(which was kind-of hard to do), and got in herself. She then, using the helicopter, flew off of the island. After awhile, Kay-Si noticed that her husband was missing. At first, she thought he had gone back out. But when it got later, and still no sign of him, she began to get worried. It wasn't like him. She called the police, and they were soon on the job. But looking for the guardian of the floating island was a new one on them. Whoever was close to Steppenwolf(family, friends, etc.) was included in the search and very worried about him. Some of them didn't show it, but you still could tell. They all searched the whole island, but didn't find Steppenwolf nor any clue to where he was. "I'm sorry, Mrs.Echidna," spoke Officier Loren, "but your husband is no where on the island. We cannot do a search of the whole planet, but we will begin a search on land that's near here. Hopefully, he isn't too far away. We will do our best, ma'am." "Thank you, Officier Loren, for your help." Kay-Si replied. "Anytime." Answered Officier Loren. They both fell silent all of a sudden, and neither spoke a word. Loren was the first one to make a move, he walked away and joined everybody else on the search. Kay-Si turned to her two worried sons, Moonwatcher and Dylan, but she didn't say a word. All the words she wanted to say were just locked up inside of her, and whenever she did say them she said them too fast and hardly anyone could understand what she was trying to say. But it was like Moonwatcher, and even Dylan, knew what their mother was trying to say to them. She was worried. Very worried. Meanwhile, Vycky-Na had just landed near the lake she was talking about, and she got out. She untied Steppenwolf and he climbed out of the helicopter faster than you could imagine, probably because he didn't want to be in there any longer, or he just wanted to get away from something that belonged to Vycky-Na. But whichever one, he looked mad. Excuse me, did I say mad? More like angry. He looked like he was ready to say a thousand things to Vycky-Na, but he didn't. He only said five words in a very low tone of voice. "Why have you done this?" Was what he asked. "Isn't it so obvious, Steppy? What have I been trying to do all along? Come on, your not dence, are you? You should know why I've done this." Vycky-Na provoked Steppenwolf. "Yes, I know, but why would you have the nerve to...," Steppenwolf began, but he suddenly changed the subject. "And as I've told you before, don't call me Steppy!" "Now, I'll take you back ONLY if you divorce your wife." Vycky-Na said. "Never." Steppenwolf replied. "Okay, I'll leave you here, then. But I'll be back, and I won't stop until you agree to divorce your wife!" Vycky-Na said, and she got back in her helicopter, and flew off. Steppenwolf looked glad that Vycky-Na was now out of the picture... but how long will she be? She said she was coming back, and she always does, no doubt about that. But Steppenwolf decided that he wasn't going to wait around for Vycky-Na to come back and annoy him some more. He decided he was going to find the island again himself, no matter how far away it was. He didn't want his wife to think he had left her, or anything like that. He wanted to be there for her, but the island was so far away. But he didn't care one bit. But he had to swim accross that lake first, and there was no way around it. It was pretty big for a lake. But Steppenwolf just hoped that it wasn't THAT big. He jumped in, and started to swim towards the island. But he knew he was no where close to it, for nothing was familiar. Vycky-Na was right. She HAD taken Steppenwolf far, far away from the island. As hours went by, he was still swimming in that very lake, tiredness and hunger upon him. And he had fallen asleep while swimming. But, luckily, a storm hit and the fierce waves had carried Steppenwolf to shore. Now, all that was left was for him to wake up. The sound of a helicopter was what woke him up. He looked above him and saw Vycky-Na preparing for a landing. When she finally did land, she spoke to Steppenwolf, first thing. "I was just heading back to the lake, and I spotted you washed up on shore." Vycky-Na explained. "You must've not been flying very high, then." Steppenwolf said. "Why even bother to try and go back, anyway? The island is way far away, even from here. But I'll take you back, IF you divorce your wife." Vycky-Na said. After much thought, Steppenwolf had an idea to get Vycky-Na to fly him back WITHOUT divorcing his wife. "It's a deal." Steppenwolf lied;really, he wasn't going to divorce his wife. He was just saying that he was going to so that Vycky-Na would fly him back. "Oh, wonderful! And afterwords, you'll marry me?" Vycky-Na asked. "Anything you ask." Lied Steppenwolf once more. "Oh, yeah! You've just made my day, Steppy! I have won and Kay-Si has lost!" Vycky-Na said happily. That just shows how dumb you are, Vycky-Na. I would never divorce my wife. Thought Steppenwolf. Unfortunately, Steppenwolf really didn't like the idea of lying, but he had to if he was ever going to get back to the island without starving to death. And, lucky for him, Vycky-Na had fallen for his act. Vycky-Na gladly took Steppenwolf back to the island. However, what she wasn't aware of was that she had been tricked. When they finally got back to the island(it took a couple of hours. Gosh! I guess Vycky meant what she said when she said that she took Steppenwolf far away from the island.:P) Steppenwolf got out of the helicopter right away, just as he had done before. He immediately saw his wife, panic across her face, and some other people, some whom he knew, some he didn't. He walked over to her, and she was surprised to see him. Actually, the panic that was once on her face now disappeared as if it had never been there. "S-Steppenwolf?" She asked, as if she had never uttered his name before. "Yes, Kay-Si, I'm here." Steppenwolf said to his wife. Kay-Si didn't say anything. It was hard for her to find the right words to say. Finally, after much time and thought, she managed to say, "Where have you been?". Unfortunately, Steppenwolf wasn't the one to answer Kay-Si's question. Before he could explain everything, Vycky-Na interrupted their short discussion. "Let me tell you the disturbing news, loser Kay-Si. Be prepared for what your about to hear." Said Vycky-Na evilly. "What disturbing news?" Asked Kay-Si confusingly. "And what do you mean, 'loser Kay-Si?'" "Let me put it this way. You have lost, L O S T, lost. And I have won." Answered Vycky-Na. "What are you talking about? What have I lost on?" Asked the confused Kay-Si. "Your completely cluless, aren't you? Well, I'm in a good mood, so I'll tell you," Vycky-Na replied. "You have lost in the battle for Steppenwolf. You have lost him, I have won him." "What do you mean...?" Asked Kay-Si, panic starting to show on her face again. Steppenwolf was about to say something, but Vycky-Na, again, interrupted. "Your so-called loyal husband has decided to divorce you, and marry me." Vycky-Na announced. Kay-Si was silent. She looked like she was suffering a thousand tortures after hearing Vycky-Na's announcement. Finally, with the silence, Steppenwolf got to explain everything. It was killing him inside to see Kay-Si suffering so badly, when he could just explain that he had tricked Vycky-Na. But all that time Vycky-Na wouldn't let him. But now was his chance. "It's not true, Kay-Si," Steppenwolf told her, "it IS true that I told Vycky-Na that. But it doesn't mean I meant it. I tricked Vycky-Na, don't you see? I'm not going to divorce you. Never would I." "You tricked me?!" Shouted Vycky-Na, both angry and disappointed at what she was hearing. "Yes, I tricked you. I would never leave Kay-Si to marry someone as cold-hearted as you. Infact, even if you weren't cold-hearted I still wouldn't leave Kay-Si to marry you. I love her too much, don't you see? I'm never going to divorce her. You might as well just give up, because it's never going to happen." Steppenwolf said to the disappointed Vycky-Na. "Oh, that's what you think! Someday, someday I will have what I want! I just need to think of a better plan, that's it! You may have won this time, Kay-Si, but lets just see about next time! Au revoir!" Said Vycky-Na, and she ran off. "Did you really mean what you said?" Asked Kay-Si when she was sure Vycky-Na was gone. "Yes, Kay-Si. Every word." Replied Steppenwolf. And, if you were wondering when they were going to kiss, they just did, right that minute. And soon, word got around that Steppenwolf was back, and the search was called off. The whole story was explained nearly fifty times, including to Kay-Si whom had no idea what had happened. "I thought you had left me." Kay-Si told Steppenwolf that night. "Never. I love you and would never leave you. Never." Steppenwolf said to Kay-Si. "Never?" Asked Kay-Si. "Never... I will love you for eternity." Steppenwolf replied. "Me, too. For all eternity." Was the last thing that Kay-Si had said, before she fell asleep. THE END (Very important note: This is my last fanfic, for now. I'm not going to be making them anymore. And there is two reasons for this: Number 1, I just can't think of anything to make my fanfics about anymore. I ran out of ideas. And number 2, I'm just not in the mood for making fanfics right now. It's hard to make them when your mind is on something else, like mine is.. I'm not interested in the topic I'm writing about anymore. I'm still writing fanfics, though they are about something else that grabs my attention more. Though, I'm only saying that this is my last fanfic FOR NOW. Maybe later on in the future I will start making them about this topic again, I don't know. But as of now, I'm not. Thank you for reading this important note.)
