(*this is going to be my shortest fiction,it's the first installment of an exciting series, hope you enjoy!)

    It was a hot day in the jungle, Vector the crocodile was slashing through trees and bushes. "Man Espy," Espio looked up at his friend. "Why isn't Knuckles out here bustin' his butt looking for nothin' at all." Espio shook his head in annoyance, "Vector, you and I both know why we are out here." Vector snorted " Oh yeah? why?" Espio cut some vines hanging from a nearby tree. " I'm out here because I volunteered too see if there was any thing useful left from the ancient echidna race," " Then why am I here, I didn't volunteer to do nothin'" Vector shouted "You my friend," Espio smiled "are here so you and Julie-su don't get into an argument and she ends up woopin' your big green" "HEY" Vector cut in. Look what I found.  Espio went over to his green friend to see what he was looking at. "This looks like some ancient tablet of some sort." Espio began to wipe it off, clear of dust. " Whoa buddy, we've got something here." Vector looked closer at it. "Using my highly advanced knowledge of the ancient history of stuff my intellect concludes that this is an ancient prophecy of some sort" Vector said "Or you just read the words "The Prophecy" right beside the tablet." Espio began to read the inscription, it read:

    on the final cometh of the beast castles will fall
    the great land in the sky will burn to where it's homeland once was
    mighty quakes will shake the mobian planet until only the savior could help
    no one shall be safe once the wrath of an ex-hero shall be unleashed
   the true chaos master shall fight with all his might to stop another
   the chosen one shall rise and the keeper shall fall
   a duo of terrors shall be the fall of the last hope
  the beast shall be unleashed by an enemy long forgotten and a new hero shall rise
  for the out come of this battle will be decided by the first of all the keepers
  the wise one's choice against a the beast kings pawn
  in the end one shall stand and so begins a new dawn

Espio looked up from the inscription with a worried _expression on his face, "This... this could be our future" Vector gave him a puzzled glance. " what's got you in a rap all of a sudden. Espio looked up at his friend " In my hands, I hold... the end of the world.

** "I wonder what could be keeping Vector and Espio?" Knuckles said to himself. He walked over to the window when he felt someone wrap their arms around his neck. "What are you thinking about?" Julie-su whispered in his ears. "nothing" Knuckles said drawing back a bit. "What's wrong Knucklehead, scared?" a voice said from the other side of the room. "Mighty?!" Knuckles said a bit surprised. "I can't leave you two alone for a minute. "You never do" Julie-su mumbled. " Hey aren't and Ray supposed to be looking for anymore power rings around the city." Knuckles asked. "B-bb-been there done th-that." Ray chimed in. Knuckles sank inside his chair."Man oh man I wish those two would just hurry up" he thought to himself, " or we'll go to dinner without them."

**" Why are ya' walkin' so slow Espy, I'm hungry." Vector was walking through the cool jungle a few steps ahead of Espio."Besides it's about to rain." Vector said looking at a rain drop that had fallen on his arm. Espio hadn't said a word, he's just thinking about that dumb tablet' Vector thought to himself."If it is true, won't we at least have a weeks notice" his thoughts were cut short by a shadow that dashed past him. He quickly spun around but only saw a blurry out line of a figure because it had began to rain hard. "Remember me croc?" the figure said as it stepped into seeing view. Vector stared in horror as he looked at Lightning Lynx "uh, I'm sorry but I just" Vector quickly turned around and was just about to run when he saw a huge face right in front of him "Boo!" It yelled. Startled Vector stepped back and fell."Aww man" He saw a shadow fly over him and land, and saw the menacing face of predator hawk. "Ahhh" yelled Vector as he got up and began to run when he ran into what seemed a brick wall. " Awwww man, who put that wall there" he said dazed then looked up to see that it was no wall at all.  Only a gorilla known as Sgt.Simon. "All right you crazy croc, time to hand over our tablets and then we'll be going on our way." the gorilla growled. Vector whimpered out of fear of Simon's massive size "Yo, man I don't have it I swear" Simon roared "Don't lie to me who else could have it?". Vector quickly glanced around the surrounding parts of the jungle until he saw  a small part where it seemed as if there was some invisible force field there in the shape of a chameleon. " Uh, I dunno" Vector lied, just then Lynx's ears twitched and he began sniffing the air, "we're not alone he said looking around" Flying Frog hopped on a branch then snapped his tongue at the invisible chameleon. "argh" Espio cried as he was brought to the rest of the group."You know Espy, I think it's a really goood idea to give them the tablets, I mean they're not actually ours." Vector said with a slight whimper. Espio shook his head "no, I won't go down without a fight. Besides Vec, just think what they could do if they had these in there hands." The Fearsome Foursome had now surrounded the two chaotix members and were closing in, fast. "Some how I don't think it could be much worse then what they're going to do to us now." Vector said looking at the foursome."

**"Man that was good" Knuckles said as he reared back in his chair. Mighty laughed "you're beginning to sound like Vector Knux" Knuckles laughed back "Yeah, it's too bad him and Espio are missing out on this. Vec's never going to forgive us after this." Julie-su laughed "Who cares," she said "it's not like the crazy croc has feelings anyway." They all laughed."Heyyyy," they chaotix turned around to see a soaking echidna in the door way of the restraunt. " Chaotix help" he said exhaustedly. Knuckles and the gang ran over to the echina and helped him up to a chair. "Get this guy some water now" Knuckles yelled to one of the waitresses. "All right big guy what's going on, calm down and tell us" Knuckles said. The echidna caught his breath then began to speak, "I  was in the jungle to some exploration, when I saw some guys pass me." Mighty looked puzzled " what kind of guys" "Big ones," the echidna motioned with his hand. "One was a gorilla, one a frog" Julie-su "let me guess the other two was a hawk, and a lynx" the echidna looked a bit suprised " yeah, how did you know" "lucky guess" Julie said. " Anyways they ganged up on Vector and Espio and took them away somewhere." Knuckles jumped up in shock. "Oh man, they've gone to far this time. Come on guys lets go get them, and see what's up with the fearsome freaks now." Knuckles ran out the door of the restraunt along with Julie-su and Ray. A waiter came up to Mighty, "friends left you with the check?" Mighty sighed,"yeah" he payed and followed his friends into a new adventure.
