ONCE IN A SPINY BLUE MOON
A Sonic/Sailor Moon Crossover
Part 1: Arrival

An empty dimension...
Suddenly, the mists of creation began to do their work. But these are not bright white mists, they're dark smoke-colored mists. Mirky water, and an island in the middle. A castle with tall, forboding, dark spires arises, steel not stone.

Inside...
A dark figure forms, and then divides into 3 parts. Red, green, and yellow eyes open.

"Finally!" a female voice laughed "We're free, my children! Mellenia of waiting! And now we're back! And it is time for our revenge against those brat scouts! They beat us before, but this time, we will have the upper hand! Humans have finally gotten as advanced as we are! Such beautiful technology to use! No limited sources this time! Hahaha! Now, to revive my dearest King Metakia!"

She sent a blast of magic at a pitch-black crystal, and it began to glow. But, there was no effect, and the magic was gone.

"Argh!" Queen Metakia yelled "Why won't my dearest husband arise?!"

"Maybe dad needs life energy, mother!" said a male voice, from the taller figure.

"Chip's right, mother." said a sweeter female voice from the shortest figure "Father was hit the worst by the scouts."

"You may be right, Disc." the queen said "And you're right, too, since you said it first, Chip."

The prince smiled wickedly, his yellow eyes glowing. The green-eyed princess did the same. Chip was tall, with long green hair, and a suit made of silver. His long nose was somwhat rediculous. Disc was a short, but thin, blue-short-haired female, with a long black dress. She also had small fangs as well. And their mother had long, purple hair with her bangs going all the way down to her waist. Her dress was long and purplish black. King Metakia, unlike his queen and children, wasn't a mortal form. He was said to be a tall, burly metallic monster, with huge fangs and sharp claws and spines, with another head on his long, thick metal tail.

"What shall be my first monster?" the queen said "Something fast, spiky, and... a hero. Someone who I can trick the scouts into destroying, and him into destroying them! Ha-ha!"

"How about a video game character?" Chip suggested.

"Or a cartoon character?" Disc said.

"What about sombody that's in both?" the queen said "And maybe is loved by humans all over the planet? Let's check the humans' databases."

With that, a panel lit up, text and numbers all over the screens, the king's crystal glowed suddenly, and sent a bolt of energy to the panels. A black shadow appeared on one of the screens, with glowing blue eyes.

"Father!!" Chip and Disc exclaimed

"Finally, I am back in the living world!" the king laughed "Unfortunately, my defeat has left me weak and I can only survive in digital form. I will need information, and not life energy to awaken, so we won't need a monster. Haha."

"Yes, dear..." the queen said "But the scouts are in this time period as well. We may need a monster as a distraction so they don't figure us out! And we believe we may have an idea on what we want."

"I see your point, dearest." the king said "Gimme what you want and I'll search it up."

"He's gotta be fast." Chip said.

"He's gotta have sharp spines." Disc added.

"He's a fictional hero loved my many humans, so he will be harder to accept to fight." the queen said "Most likely in games, cartoons, and... books. And he should have our eye colors all over his body."

In an instant, the king had found what they had wanted. Spiky. Fast. Heroic. Blue with green eyes, and red shoes with golden buckles. Famous in many parts of the world, found in video games, cartoons, and comic books. Their monster... was...


"Sonic the Hedgehog!" Serena exclaimed "I love this blue dude! Gimme that controller, Amy!" and she snatched it away.

"Hey!" Amy exclaimed "It's not your turn, Serena!"

Serena stuck her tongue out at Amy, and continued to play. Amy, Rae, Lita, and Mina facefaulted for a moment before jumping on Serena.

"But I was playing!" Serena protested.

"But it was MY turn, and you stole it!" Amy snarled

"You can play after Amy loses!" Lita said.

"Yeah, just wait your turn, Serena." Mina said.

"Okay, FINE." Serena sighed, and gave Amy back the controller.

"Thank you." Amy said, and went back to playing.

Suddenly, there was a shock. The screen went blank. And when it came back, Sonic was GONE! Only Tails and Knuckles were left on the game.

"Sonic just..." Serena said "Disappeared!!!"

"How can that be?!" Amy said "That's physically impossible. Unless Sonic's data was extracted... but that would take a computer."

"Or magic." Rae said "Dark magic..."

"Negaversal magic!!!" they all exclaimed "Something took the data!"

"Data drainers." Luna said, hopping through the window "The data drainers were an empire of technology similar to our moden technology. It was started by an evil wizard named Metakia Mage, his wife, and his daughter and son. Their monsters were machines, or already existimg images, like things in paintings. He had a small database which had limited power because it was so small. He changed his name to King Metakia, and transformed himself into a huge monster named Metakia Ultimata. The scouts of that time used their powers to entrap him and his beloved wife and children in a black crystal, and then sent it into Oblivion. Oblivion is a world of nothingness, where nothing changes or creates. It was a perfect prison for them. But things can come out of oblivion, and the data drainers may have done so. The king needs data to revive himself, since he was hit by the most power, but it is possible that the queen, and Chip and Disc have gotten their bodily forms. Chip is the boy, and Disc is the girl. If you see a long-haired boy with a rediculously long nose, that's Chip. And Disc won't be able to show herself as disguised, she has fangs. She can't hide the fangs. As for their mother, she can look like anything, anyone. She's almost as powerful as Mage was before he monsterized himself."

"I'm getting wierd readings!" Amy said "Something unnatural in the middle of the city! It must be the Data Drainers! Let's go, girls!"

"We're with ya!" the others said "Let's go and transform, and then take this menace on!"

Serena became Sailor Moon.
Amy became Sailor Mercury.
Rae became Sailor Mars.
Lita became Sailor Jupiter.
Mina became Sailor Venus.

"Planet power!" they said, and went on their way.

At the location...
When they got there, the area was empty, quiet. Only the dim light of the streetlights lit the place with an eerie light. Suddenly, something zipped past them.

"What was that?" Mars said.

"Must be that odd reading." Mercury replied.

"SHOW YOURSELF!!!" Jupiter hollered, hurting the other girls' ears "Uhh... sorry." she apologized.

The thing zipped past them again, knocking them over.

"Alright, that's IT!" Venus said "Love Me Chain!"

The figure slowed somewhat to show its blue blur, and dodged the attack, and then sped up again and toppled the scouts again.

"Mars Fire!" Mars commanded, and used her attack.

The figure yelped. The multiple flames had made a bit of contact. It sped again, but the girls rolled out of its way, and Mars attacked again. This was a direct hit, and sent the creature flying and visible, in the shadows. Its head was spiky, and its green eyes shown in the dim light.

"Hey!" the figure yelled "Don't you know if you play with fire, someone can get hurt?! Like me... and YOU!"

The figure sped again, and this time, Jupiter zapped him and sent him to a screeching stop, in the light, showing his full form.

"It... can't... be..." Mars said.

"Why... him?" Mercury said.

"Not... SONIC!!!" Moon said.
