MECHA SONIC: REVISITED
Part 1: Rage of the Machine

In the super-polluted city of Robotropolis, the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik is putting the last touches on his newest invention. After running diagnostic tests, Ivo feels that his newest creation is ready, but first he installs a personality chip. With that, the robot began to spring to life. Its red pupils opened, shining a reddish light. Its mouth began to move, and then it spoke......
"Mecha Sonic Mark II at your service."

"Exellent!" Robotnik yelled "All systems, full power! Do you know who I am?"

"You are Dr. Robotnik, future ruler of Mobius." it replied.

"Exellent!" Robotnik laughed "Now, what is your job?"

"To distract and destroy my life counterpart, one Sonic the Hedgehog." it replied.

"YES! Very good!" Robotnik said exitedly "But before you can go after Sonic, I need to run some tests on your speed, strength, skill, and ruthlessness."

"I shall obey." it said.

"All right....." said Ivo "First thing's first. The speed and skill test. You shall run this obstacle course and I shall record your speed and the skill you have at dodging and/or avoiding the traps. Now, GO!!!

First, it was a running trial. Metal ran at a medium pace, which is pretty fast. Suddenly, there was a gap in the track after a ramp, so he sped up and flew off the ramp and to the other side of the gap. He kept at almost top speed as he zoomed over more ramps and holes. Then, he screeched to a stop. Now, came the skill part of the test. First, 2 missiles came straight at him. He quickly dodged one and jumped the other, also making sure to jump over the next gap. He landed next to a part of the track that had several slots. Metal could only think of one danger from that.... spikes. So, he tiptoed beween the holes, being very careful not to step on any. When he made it across, he dropped a screw on a slot, and the spikes came from the holes. As soon as he began to start again, 5 missiles came. He jumped the first, dodged the second and third, and ran between the last 2. Then, he came to a long gap. The only way cross was by hopping moving platforms. He waited for the first, hopped on, and then rode forward. Suddenly, another missile flew. He immediately rocket jumped to the next platform without thinking and landed perfectly. He then hopped the next 3 platforms, and finally made it to the other side. He then finished the course and was standing in an arena. Suddenly, a Shadowbot landed in front of him. Now was the last part of skill: fighting ability. The bot quickly threw a punch, and Metal dodged. Metal kicked the bot in the back, and it took another swing. Metal ducked it, then hit the bot with a wild punch. The bot then activated its beam cannon. Metal began dodging the beams as fast as he could, and when he got enough speed, he rolled into a ball and tore through the bot. It fell over and exploded.

"Exellent! Exellent!" Ivo laughed, applauding his creation "Now, for your strength test!"

"Now, this is very simple...." Ivo began "All you have to do is lift, push, and smash."

First, was lifting, he had to lift a wooden crate filled with metal pieces. He lifted it easily. Next: Pushing! He had to push a giant solid steel block up a ramp. And he began to push. It slowly began to budge. Metal then turned on his rocket boosters, and pushed that way. Now, he was making progress, and pushed the block up the ramp. And lastly: Smashing. A metal door was placed in front of him. He began to punch. Not a dent. He soon got tired and then, fied a missile from his arm. It blew the door quite misshapen. Metal then punched it again, and it gave way.

"Okay, very good!" Ivo laughed. "Now, finally: Ruthlessness!"

"This is simple, Metal." Ivo began "Just blow up the targets with what you have!"

First, came a Sally doll. Metal quickly used his machine gun and riddled the doll with holes. Then, Rotor and Antoine dolls popped up. Metal fired 2 missiles from his side compartments, blowing them to bits. Next, a Bunnie doll. This one had firepower. Metal dodged the blasts, and timed his strike just right, blowing off the shooting arm. He then shot with his machine guns again. Finally, a Tails doll popped in front of him. The doll was overly cute. Metal released his arm cannons and aimed. But he didn't fire. The doll was so young, so vulnerable, so innocent. He began to think that what he was doing was wrong. The child was innocent and was unarmed. How could he destroy it? Suddenly, something sparked in his system.
"I shall obey." he said, and blasted the doll to kingdom come.

"Very good!" Robotnik laughed. "I think you're ready to rid me of that insipid hedgehog! Now, go to Green Hill and get him!"

Metal immediately rocketed out of the corridor, and flew off to Green Hill Zone. All he could think of was destroying Sonic, and the doll..... how could he have done such an atrocity to the representation of an innocent creature? He quickly shrugged it off and continued on his way.

Sonic was sitting in his lawn chair, enjoying the sun, the wind, and a glass of lemonade. "Ahh..... a beautiful day!" he sighed "Nothing could go wrong! Right, Tails?"

"Right, Sonic!" the young kitsune said in agreement "nothing could happen on a beautifil day like... like..."

"Something wrong, kid?" Sonic asked in concernment.

"Me-me-me-met...." Tails stuttered.

"Met what, Tails?" he asked.

"METAL SONIC!!!! AND HE'S COMING THIS WAY!" he squealed.

Sonic looked up, and sure enough, there was Mecha Sonic mk II flying towards them very quickly.

"Sonic the Hedgehog, In the name of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, you are to be destroyed! And I'm just the hog to do it!" he laughed, revealing all his weapons.

"This..... is..... not.... good." Sonic murmured.
