Desmond and crew come to Angel Island for vacation, to find power.
CHANCE ENCOUNTER
The ship soon caught view of the Floating Island, its destination. Desmond sat down in his captain's chair smiling at the soon-to-be vacation spot. Suddenly, he noticed a city, and groups of residents wandering around, looking over the edge of the island.
"Hmm... it's changed." Des said "It seems that my people have returned and the city rebuilt. Kandas said that they were in another dimension for a time, they must've come out... Vortex, go down to the water and go into submarine mode so we aren't noticed."
But they were noticed.
"Remmy..." Komi-ko said "I just saw a huge airship fly through the sky and then dive."
"Guardian!" the constable yelled "There may be trouble... Komi saw a ship just dive..."
Remington was lucky that Knux was there with Julie-su to view the edge.
"I'll glide down there and see..." the guardian said. With that, he dove underneath the island looking for the ship. "Hmm..." he said "I don't see a ship..." and went back up. "Nothing." he said "You just must've been seeing things."
"I guess...." Komi sighed.
But Komi had not been seeing things... the ship had gone underwater and into its submarine mode. It also had a land rover mode as well.
"Attention everyone..." Des said "Get up to the deck and we'll take the hovercraft." His four partners quickly joined him. And with that, the craft flew to a secluded area and the 5 stepped out.
"Now then..." Des said "Try and keep a low profile so we can blend in."
"Yes, sir." they said altogether. With that, they walked into the city to find a hotel.
Meanwhile, at the Dark Legion base...
"All is going according to plan..." Xenin said.
"Excellent!" Dimitri smirked "It's time to teach those echidnas a lesson... all we need now is some extra money. You..." he said, pointing to a group of Legionnaires "Go and mug some of the townspeople and get their cash."
"Aye aye sir!" they said, saluting and walking out.
Desmond was wandering around the city, scoping it out for restaurants, when he decided to walk into an alley to see if he could find any alley restaurants, and wound up with the group of legionnaires. They quickly pulled out your blasters.
"Give us all your cash and valuables!" one yelled.
Des didn't want to cause trouble yet, so he just surrendered. "Take anything you want." he said.
With that, they got to work and began rummaging through his wallet and pockets until they had collected all their stuff. One noticed the medallion half.
"What's this?" he asked Des.
"I've had it with me all my life." Des said "It's nothing really special.... take it if you must."
"It would be a great... dishonor to take YOUR things." the trooper said.
"Muh?" Des said in disbelief.
"Come with us!" the trooper said "There is someone who would like to see you very much.... it's important."
"Alright, I'll come with you." he sighed, rolling his eyes." With that, they walked to a secret door that led down into the sewers to the Legion base. Des didn't want to get his uniform jacket dirty, so he removed it, revealing a quite muscular body as well as a metal socket for his robot arm. He had removed it to blend in better. Also, he peled off the fake skin on his eyebrows revealing their metal structure.
The legionnaires were amazed.... he was starting to look more like them. He had to be the one.
The troopers finally came into the base with their new "friend". They walked him down a corridor to the meeting room.
"Go in." the trooper said "She's in there."
Des went in, and saw a tall, red female echidna sitting in a chair. She was wearing a yellow suit with green trim and ruby cufflinks. Several parts of her dreadlocks were metal. She was holding something in her hand.
"Yes, you wanted to see me, lady?" he said quite fiercely, so overtaken by his "abduction".
"Yes..." Lien-da said "Now, sit down, boy."
"Alright..." Des said, sitting across from her "Now, whaddya want from me?"
"One of our associates found someting important with you." she said "Now, give it to me, please."
"This?" he sighed, getting out the medallion half he had and handed it to her. Her eyes opened wide when she saw it, and her jaw was semi-dropped.
"Now what I don't understand..." Des said "Why would some wierd chick want to see me for something as unimportant as a gold medallion half?!"
Lien put the piece with her half. It fit perfectly.
"I'm not just some strange chick, young man..." she scolded "I am... I am..." she couldn't get up the courage to say the words. "Your... your..."
"I'm your what?" Des said.
"I'm your mother, child." she said "I've missed you for so long, ever since you were an egg and those vultures took you..."
Des was in shock... his mother? His real mother? She had to be... she knew about the Viles. After so much searching, he had found her. "M-m-mother...." he said with a sniffle before hugging her tightly. He began to tear up, as did she.
"Son..." she sighed with a smile, wiping her eye.
After explaining everything and introducing Des to the entire family, Lien had something to say.
"From what you've heard, do you like or dislike us?" she said.
"I-i-i am so surprised by all this..." Des said "But, you are what I've always wished for and dreamed of... a family with a perchant for world domination, just like myself. I am glad to be a part. But... I have one small problem... I am already employed by a man named Ivo Robotnik."
The entire legion just stood there in shock... he was working for the Eggman?! They disliked Robotnik for two simple reasons.... his technology was polluting, and he was the main competition. Although they thought of him as a kindred, but he was still an inferior human.
"Is something wrong?" Des asked.
"Yes, and now we must discuss it.... please listen to your grandfather..." Lien said, pointing to Dimitri.
After that was explained, Des had made his decision...
"i shall assist you in your plan, however...." he spoke "I will not leave Robotnik, however, I shall also not betray you. I will not tell the doc about any of OUR encounters, for he would get pretty peeved. I will help you.... ALL WHO OPPOSE US SHALL REGRET IT! THE POWER OF DIMITRI WILL GUIDE US THROUGH TO A NEW AGE! HAIL DIMITRI!!!!"
"HAIL DIMITRI!" the entire group yelled, raising their glasses.
Des called upon his group to come over. He had prepared to bring the ship in to the loading dock hidden underneath the island to make sure no one could find it easily. Soon, the legion had 5 new members...
Desmond, his girlfriend, Tiarana, Vortex Vulture, Kandas Echidna, and Deke Velociraptor. The legion was semi-shocked to see that 3 of them were not echidnas, but decided allies are allies. Dimitri and Lien soon told Desmond of their situation and low numbers. And Desmond decided something.....
"You can use my army of robot soldiers!" Des said "Kandas made them. They are very high quality...."
Des showed them to the cargo hold of his ship and revealed his robots. There were three kinds. Normal SWATbots, only slimmer, speedier and more lightweight. Then a kind of robot that rolls itself into an invincible ball, and fired both laser and projectile weapons. And third.... small, free-floating creatures called Spyner. They looked quite devilish with their sharp spines. The legion technicians were amazed, as well as the strategists and the elite. Examples of Echidna technological perfection, combined with the strength of Robotnik weapons. They were well armed now!
"Congratulations, m'boy!" Dimitri laughed "You are a TRUE legionnaire... LORD Desmond."
Des smirked happily... he was a LORD. An almost highest ranking, only surpassed by Dimitri and his family itself.
"So, boy..." Dimitri said "Anything to say?"
"Yes..." Desmond said "The Floating Island better watch out, cuz the Dark Legion and Team Punkstar are here! Ya hahahahahahaha..."
Then, Lien began to laugh, and soon the entire Legion Elite was roaring with maniacal laughter...... an epic battle was about to begin!
