Deep in a swamp located in the Southeastern Peninsula is a band of Freedom 
Fighters still trying to win back their village from the sub boss Edwin.  
The Cyprus Knee Freedom Fighters are led by the son, and soon to be Captain 
of the guard, Jaxson Jaguar.  All the Freedom Fighters in that village and 
in others have had parents who have been robotisized by the evil Ivo 
Robotnik.  Some of these families have been reunited while some have yet to 
be reunited with their families.  In the case of Kathryn Paw of the Cyprus 
Knee Freedom Fighters she has yet to speak with her mother Sarah.  Some day 
the big reunion will come for those two.



MOTHERS and DAUGHTERS

A young female jaguar runs through a courtyard playing with her friends and 
as she turns around she notices her mother watching over her and her 
friends.  The young jaguar then runs up to her mother and jumps into her 
arms.  The Mother then puts her child down and walks hand to hand with her.  
Suddenly the scene changes and the young jaguars is loosing her grip as her 
mother is benign forced into the robotisizer and as she is being pulled away 
she sees her mother being transformed into a mindless robot slave.  Then the 
situation changes again and the jaguar is now 12 and she is face to face 
with her mother again just this time her mother is bent on capturing her.  
The young jaguar jumps around dodging her mothers attempts to catch her and 
all the while she is trying to get through to her.  Then suddenly her mother 
jumps up after and right before her mother hits her Kathryn Paw awakes from 
her nightmare.  A bit traumatized she walks over to her dresser and picks up 
a picture that was taken of her and her mom.  She then sits down on the 
floor at the foot of her bed and does something she hasn't done in 
years...she cries.

The next day around noon she is eating lunch at the café looking very upset. 
  "Hey Kat what's wrong?"  Asked her best friend Princess Stacie Leo.  "Oh 
nothing just had trouble sleeping that's all."  Replied Kathryn rubbing her 
eyes.  Then all of a sudden the village intercom came on.  "KATHRYN I NEED 
TO SEE YOU IN MY OFFICE IT'S IMPORTANT.  I better see what Jax wants."  She 
said as she got up from her table and walked over to Jaxsons hut.  She 
walked into the hut and entered Jaxsons office that used to be part of a 
bedroom but when Jaxson became leader of the Freedom Fighters in Cyprus Knee 
he turned it into an office.
"So what do you need Jax?"  Asked Kathryn as she sat in a chair in front of 
his desk.  "Kathryn, how long has it been since you seen or talked to your 
mom?"  Asked Jaxson.  Why?"  Replied Kathryn.  "This solo mission I'm 
sending you on was brought up by your mom and she requested that you do it.  
What's the mission?"
Jaxson then got up and walked to the holographic map of River City.  He then 
pointed out a small storage building.  "This building here contains a 
generator for the cities major computers.  This was put together after our 
raids on the main city generators.  So what does my mom want me to do?  She 
wants you implant a virus into the system.  If you send a virus in through 
the generator then you can infect the entire system."
Jaxson then sat back down behind his desk.  "So what do you say Kat?  I 
don't think I can do this mission.  Kathryn you're the only one here that 
can implant a virus in sophisticated systems and I think you should use this 
opportunity to get back together with Sarah."  Kathryn then sat back in her 
seat and thought about the situation.  "I have no other choice do I?"  She 
asked.  "No, not really."  Replied Jaxson.  There was a deep silence that 
followed but was soon broken when Kathryn spoke up.  "I'll do it then.  Be 
careful Kat-Paw.  I will Jax, I always am."  With that Kathryn walked out, 
went to her hut for a few things, and headed off to River City.

Kathryn decided not to take a hovercycle into River City in order to be on 
more of a low profile.  She crept around the city avoiding bots, advancing 
closer to the C. K. S. N. base.  She came to an ally and hid between two 
dumpsters.  She then taped the entrance code to the base on one of the 
dumpsters.  Suddenly one of the dumpsters slid over revealing a passageway 
to the base of the C. K. S. N.  She had just gotten in to the passage when 
the dumpster slid back into place sealing the entrance.  Kathryn continued 
down the stairs with a hint of worry.  She couldn't get the fact out of her 
head that she had not spoken to her mom in years.
As she got to the door of the base a voice came over an intercom.  "ENTER 
VOICECODE."  Said the voice.  "Kathryn Paw FF003.259-289815."  Replied 
Kathryn.  "PLEASE STAND BY."  After about a minute the door to the base 
opened slowly revealing a large circular room filled with computers and 
other passageways that were used to for transportation all over the City.  
But Kathryn was looking at all the Robotisized Citizens working the various 
spy stations.  All of a sudden one of them approached Kathryn.  "Kathryn, is 
that you?"  She asked.  "Momma?"  Replied Kathryn very timidly.  Sarah then 
nodded and there was an odd silence.  "So mom what did you want to see me 
for?  Jaxson said you had a mission for me."  Said Kathryn trying to change 
the subject.  Sarah then saw that her daughter was obviously uncomfortable 
about the whole thing and led her to one of the surveillance screens.
"As Jaxson said this building here is one large computer shed.  It holds 
information for most of the major computers in this city.  There is one 
problem however.  Even thou it is not heavily guarded it has one thing that 
makes it stand out.  If any thing organic comes within a 50 ft. radius it 
will cover it self with impenetrable steel.  So how do we get around that?"  
Asked Kathryn.  I'll go in and disarm the security system, but you may only 
have a few minutes to insert the virus."  Said Sarah as looked back at her 
daughter.  "Well then let's get it on."  Replied Kathryn.  Sarah looked over 
at Kathryn and smiled.  "That's my girl."  Then Kathryn did something she 
hasn't done in years.  She hugged her mom and said... "I love you mom.  I 
love you too Kitty-Kat."  Kathryn after hearing that looked at her mother is 
astonishment.
"You remembered your nickname for me."  Her mother then replied... "I may be 
metal and wires but I have never forgotten about you."  And the two hugged 
for a little longer.  "Well what are we standing around here for?  We got a 
mission to carry out."  Said Sarah as the two walked out of the C. K. S. N. 
base and off to the mission.

A little while later the two were in front of an old one-story warehouse.  
"Kathryn, I'll go and switch off the security system.  When it is safe I'll 
give you a signal.  Once your inside waste no time inserting the virus.  Got 
it?  I got it mom."  The two then hugged again and Sarah headed off to the 
side of the building to shut off the system.  As she got to the box with the 
system wires she got to work trying to shut off the system.  Now when she 
does Kathryn has only about less then ten minutes to install the virus and 
get out of the building.
After about a minute Sarah gave Kathryn the okay to go in and insert the 
virus.  Kathryn then sprinted on in and worked as fast as she possibly 
could.  She started to install one of her strongest viruses.  She had hoped 
to use it on the computer in Edwin's war room but she figured this mission 
was bigger.  She had just finished entering the code and was starting the 
download process when she heard a scream outside.  She turned around only to 
see Edwin standing in the doorway holding her mother captive.
"Let her go Edwin or I set the virus to speed download.  You do that Kathryn 
and your mother dies."  Said Edwin holding a gun to Sarah's head.  "Stop the 
virus and no harm will come to your mother.  Don't do it Kathryn."  Kathryn 
looked back and noticed the virus was at 50 percent download.  She then 
looked back at Edwin and said... "No pity with this kitty."
She then charged at Edwin and kicked him to the floor.  "You'll pay for that 
Paw."  Kathryn just ignored him and gave him a roundhouse kick in the jaw.  
"Mom get out of here now.  I'm not leaving you again Kathryn."  Edwin then 
managed to pick himself up and aimed his laser gun at the two jaguars.  
"Then you both are fools."  Edwin then shot at the two but he missed and hit 
the virus download computer.  "I guess now it's me who is messing up your 
plans."  Edwin then backed up out of the warehouse and turned on the 
security system.
As the front door started to close Kathryn ran out but noticed her mother 
was still inside.  "MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"  Yelled Kathryn.  "I'M 
FINISHING THE JOB."  Replied Sarah as she set her self-destruct mode.  
"KATHRYN DON'T FORGET I LOVE YOU.  I LOVE YOU NOW AND ALWAYS WILL."  Tears 
started to role down Kathryn's cheeks.  "MOM GET OUT."  She yelled but it 
was too late the door was closed and there was nothing she could do.  Back 
inside Sarah's self-destruct was winding down.  "I love you Kitty-Kat."  
With that the building exploded.  "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"  Screamed Kathryn as she 
saw the explosion.  All she could do was fall to the ground crying...







Then she woke up again.  She looked around her room and noticed she must 
have fallen a sleep after the first time she woke up.  She looked out of her 
window and noticed that the sun was rising so she just decided to take a 
shower and get dressed.  She decided to eat breakfast in her hut because she 
still wanted to try and make sense of her dream.  She knew the part about 
not seeing her mom in years was true but she didn't know what the rest of it 
meant.

Later that day she was out and about when she ran into Jaxson.  "Hi Kathryn 
I haven't seen you all morning what's up?"  He asked.  "I had a hard time 
getting up this morning.  That's all.  Replied Kathryn.  "Are you sure 
that's all that's wrong Kat?"  Asked Jaxson with some concern for his 
girlfriend.  "I'm sure Jax.  You know I would go to you if there was any 
thing wrong."  Replied Kathryn.  "Okay but if you need anything my door is 
always open."  Jaxson then kissed her on the forehead and walked off.
Kathryn knew she needed someone to talk to other then Jaxson so she turned 
to Stacie.  Kathryn walked over to Stacie's hut and knocked on the door.  
Stacie welcomed her friend in and listened to her problem.  "Well it sounds 
like you should go and see Sarah."  Said Stacie.  "I don't know if I can.  
You know where she is, you know how to get there so what's holding you back? 
  Fear I guess.  Well Kat you have to overcome that fear no matter what it 
takes.  Your right Stacie but over coming a fear is hard.  I know it is but 
this is something you must do.  And the sooner the better.  Thank you Stacie 
you're a good friend."  With that Kathryn walked out of the hut and headed 
for the café.
A few hours later Kathryn was sitting in her hut thinking about what she 
must do about her current situation.  She thought long and hard about it.  
All of a sudden Rhiannon entered Kathryn's hut with big news.  "Kathryn, 
some of the C. K. S. N. are in trouble.  We're moving out now."  Kathryn 
didn't hesitate.  She got up got her things and headed off with the others 
to save those C. K. S. N. members in heed of help.

It wasn't to long until the team of Kathryn, Jaxson, Rhiannon, Nick, Albert, 
and Stacie were in River City in to help the C. K. S. N members being 
attacked.  Sure enough Sarah and some other C. K. S. N. members were being 
attacked by swatbots.  The team rode in on their hovercycles firing lasers 
at the bots on hovercycles and working their way toward the bots on the 
ground.  "Stacie and Kathryn get Sarah and them out of here."  Ordered 
Jaxson.  With that Kathryn and Stacie swung around and grabbed the C. K. S. 
N. members and flew them to safety while the battle raged on.
It wasn't long before Kathryn and Stacie rejoined the fight.  "Are they 
alright?"  Asked Jaxson.  "Their okay."  Replied Stacie.  "Good let's finish 
these bots off and head back."  The fight lasted a while it seemed like if 
one was destroyed two would replace it.  "Jaxson we better book."  Suggested 
Al.  "Good idea, let's shake these bots and move out."  The Freedom Fighters 
then led the bots on a chase through the streets eventually either loosing 
or destroying a few.  They all then reunited at the original battle site and 
flew back in to the swamp.
Back at home Jaxson saw Kathryn sitting on the steps of her hut with her 
head in her knees.  Jaxson stood behind a hut with his cousin Donavan 
looking at her wanting to see if she needed any company.  "What should we do 
Jax?"  Asked Donavan.  "I don't know Don.  Why don't you go talk to her?  
Why me?  You're her boyfriend.  Yeah but she wont tell me any thing I tried 
but she might talk to you.  Alright Jax I'll try.  Thanks Don."
With that Donavan walked over to Kathryn and sat next to her on the steps.
"What's wrong Kat?"  Asked Donavan.  "Oh nothing, it's nothing.  You look 
upset.  You know what I do when I'm upset?  No, what?  Well I try to think 
of good thing and good times too help cheer me up.  And if that doesn't work 
I just talk to someone."  Kathryn looked up and smiled at the young jaguar.  
"Maybe that will work for me.  So what's wrong?  Well I haven't spoken with 
my mom since she was robotisized and the other night I had a dream in which 
I did meet her and we went on a mission together.  But at the end of the 
dream she died.  And today seeing her in trouble made me think about her 
some more and I'm feeling guilty that I haven't spoken with her in so many 
years."
Donavan thought about that for a second and soon came up with a solution.  
"You should go meet her and make amends.  Maybe your right Don, but I don't 
know if I can.  It shouldn't be that hard you just go to her and I'm sure 
the words will come to you.  Hey I'll even go with you if you need any help. 
  Or just to make sure you do it.  Thank you Donavan thanks for helping me.  
Don't mention it."  With that Kathryn and Donavan were off to the 
headquarters of the Cyprus Knee Spy Network.

It didn't take long to get there on a hovercycle.  The two parked the cycle 
out side the entrance and stood there for a second.  "Donavan, I can't do 
this.  Sure you can Kathy, I know you can."  Kathryn turned back around, 
took a deep breath and walked toward the entrance.  She gave all the codes 
and went in to the main HQ of the Spy Network.
Sarah was looking at some monitors when another member came up to her and 
told her they had visitors.  Sarah turned and saw Kathryn and Donavan 
standing near the doorway.  Sarah and Kathryn then started to slowly walk 
toward each other, Kathryn getting a hand from Donavan.  Writers note it be 
best if the song "To Make You Feel My Love" was playing right now.  Anyway 
back to the story.  Kathryn and Sarah eventually made it to each other.  
They both stared at each other for a while.  A silence filled the air, no 
words were exchanged.  All the two could do was hug. Then right then and 
there Mother and Daughter were reunited after years of being apart.  Both 
started to cry tears of joy over this reunion then suddenly Sarah spoke.  "I 
love you Kitty-Kat."  Kathryn then replied.  "I love you too Mom."



Jaxson was back at Cyprus Knee at his computer and through a video 
conference screen he saw the reunited pare and looked over at a picture of 
him and his mom he kept on his desk.  He picked up the picture and looked 
out his window.  And with a tear rolling down his cheek he said... "I know 
you're out there and I will find you."
Back at the Spy Network headquarters Kathryn and her mom Sarah were 
discussing old times and talking about the future.  So as you can tell 
emotion was running high.  "Kathryn I'm extremely happy that you could come 
and see me."  Said Sarah.  "Well mom it wasn't easy.  In fact if it weren't 
for Donavan here I would never have gotten it together enough to come.  Well 
I'm happy you did.  Maybe we can start again."  Suggested Kathryn.  "Maybe 
Kathryn but not until this war of ours is over when that happens there will 
be time to pickup where we left off oh so long ago.  It seems that long 
doesn't it.  Yes my dear it does.  But I know our victory will not be that 
long."  Just then Donavan interrupted the two.  "Um I'm sorry to interrupted 
but maybe we should head back to the village it's getting late out.  Yeah 
Don your right.  I wish I didn't have to go.  Don't worry dear; will see 
each other again soon."  And with that the two were on their way back to 
Cyprus Knee.
When the two got back Jaxson was there to greet them.  "Kathryn I'm glad to 
have seen you getting back together with your mom.  How did you know what 
happened?"  Asked Kathryn surprised.  "I saw you two on my computer through 
my video conference window.  Donavan get some close together you and me are 
going on a mission.  Why do I need to pack clothes?  I'll tell you later 
okay.  Okay."  Donavan then ran back to the hut to pack his things.
"Where do you plan on going?"  Asked Kathryn.  "I'm going to look for my 
mom.  Are you sure she's alive?  If not then I'll come back.  I already told 
everyone else about this so Stacie will be ready to take over as soon as I 
leave."  Kathryn and Jaxson then kissed and Jaxson went to help Donavan with 
his stuff.  Kathryn just walked back to her hut and thought about the day 
and what all had happened.
The next day Jaxson and Donavan were off to find Tonya Jaguar, Jaxson's mom. 
  Jaxson gave one last kiss to Kathryn as him and Donavan jumped into a 
speedboat and headed up river to find Jaxson's mom.  Kathryn had so much on 
her mind that she just decided to take the day off and relax in her hut.  
After all that she had been through she deserved a day off.  She went back 
to her hut ran a nice warm bubble bath.  She placed a microphone a little 
ways from the tub so as she could talk into her computer and have it write a 
message for her mom.  The message said...

Dear mom,

I love you and always will.  I'm glad that we have gotten back together 
after so long.  I'll see you soon.

Well Kathryn got back together with her mom and Jaxson is going off to look 
for his mom.  While he is away Stacie has control of the village, but the 
next fanfic will not be about her.  It will be about Rhiannon and Nick, 
mostly about Rhiannon though, and will have an update on Jaxson's search.
