Deep in a swamp located in the Northeast region of the Southeastern 
Peninsula lives' the Cyprus Knee Freedom Fighters who are led by Jaxson 
Jaguar.  Even though Robotnik has been dead and gone these Freedom Fighters 
still fight to rid their city of the sub boss and former king Edwin.
Recently the residents of Cyprus Knee were rocked when a massive hurricane 
hit.  The aftermath left the village with great damage, some residents were 
even packing their bags and leaving.  Before extensive cleaning can be done 
there is one thing that needs to be done the burying of a friend that was an 
unfortunate casualty of the hurricane.



CLEANING UP
(Written by Jaxson Jaguar)




Underneath the shade of a huge oak tree the Freedom Fighters gathered to say 
their final good-byes to a friend whose time had come too soon.  They all 
stood their dressed in black suits and dresses.  They all stood around the 
gravesite Jaxson stood behind the tombstone ready to give a few words before 
the pinebox was lowered into the ground.  Jaxson stood behind the gray 
tombstone wearing a black suit and dark sunglasses.
"We are all here to say goodbye to our good friend Robert F. Crane.  He 
spent his whole life chasing, tracking, and watching storms.  In fact he was 
born in one.  He died doing what he loved to do, so we can all honestly say 
he is now at peace."  Jaxson then pulled one of Roberts's feathers out of 
his pocket and held it up in the air.  "May a piece of you be one with the 
wind my friend."  He said as he let the feather float off into the wind.  
The pinebox was then lowered into the ground, the grave was filled and 
everybody went back to work clearing out the mess left by the hurricane.

Two hours later e-mail showed up on the team's computer to Jaxson from 
Mobotropolis.  "Let's see what it has to say shall we."  Said Jaxson as he 
began to read the e-mail.

Dear Capt. Jaxson Jaguar

	A group of workers and supplies are on their way to Cyprus Knee.  Among the 
workers will be myself, Sonic, Tails, Bunnie, and Rotor.  We should be there 
an hour after this message has been sent.
                                           Princes Sally Acorn

Jaxson then left the computer hut with the megaphone.  "ALRIGHT PEOPLE I 
JUST GOT WORD THAT PRINCES SALLY IS ON HER WAY HERE SO AT LEAST LOOK LIKE 
YOUR DOING SOMETHING.  THAT IS ALL."  He said in to the megaphone.  He then 
went over to help clear some down trees.  When he got to one of the uprooted 
trees he noticed some thing strange.  "What are you guys doing?"  He asked 
as he noticed that Nick and D. J. were trying to get the tree upright.  
"Well we're trying see if we can replant the uprooted trees."  Said Nick.  
"Does it work?"  Asked Jaxson.  "We can get them replanted but only time 
will tell if they grow back."  Replied D. J.  "I see.  Well let me give you 
guys a hand."  Jaxson said as he helped lift the down tree.
Some time later the boat carrying supplies and workers arrived.  Jaxson, 
Kathryn, Stacie, and Zach where there to meet them.  The first off was... 
"SONIC!  Good to see you again.  You too Jax.  Let me introduce my the guys 
I brought along with me."  Said Sonic as he turned to the boat.  "Of coarse 
you know Tails.  Hey big guy."  Said Jaxson.  "The next off the boat is a 
good friend of mine and a master mechanic Rotor.  Hi guys Sonic has said a 
lot about you guys.  It's a pleasure to meet you."  Said Jaxson as he shook 
his hand.  "Next off the boat is our Southern belle Bunnie.  Hi yal.  Love 
your accent."  Said Kathryn.  "You know I got a little bit of a Southern 
accent myself.  I just try not to use it much."  He said in a Southern 
accent that was not phony.  He really does have an accent he just spent 
years trying to get rid of it.  Unfortunately it pops up every now and then. 
  "Why don't cha' use it much sugah.  It sounds okay to me.  It's just the 
way I am."  He then cleared his throat in order to talk normal again.  "And 
now the person you all have been waiting for."  Announced Sonic as the red 
headed half squirrel half chipmunk stepped off the boat.  "Princes Sally 
Acorn.  Princes as leader of the Cyprus Knee Freedom Fighters I welcome you 
to what's left of our village."  Said Jaxson with a slight laugh.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Captain.  The pleasures all mine Princes but 
please just call me Jaxson.  Allow me to introduce my friends.  This lovely 
jaguar you see standing next to me is our chief hacker and my girl friend 
Kathryn Paw.  Nice to meet you Kathryn.  You too Sally.  And these two lions 
standing here is the hair to the thrown of the House of Leo Princes Stacie 
Leo and her brother Prince Zach.  Sonic told me about you two.  It must be 
hard to fight your father.  It's something that needs to be done" Replied 
Stacie.  "We can't let our emotions get the best of us.  Your right but 
there must be some guilt in doing it.  Not if that person killed five 
people.  Oh I'm sorry.  Well why don't we see what work needs to be done 
shall we."  Said Sally changing the subject.
Jaxson then showed everybody around the village.  "As you can see we're 
trying to replant the uprooted trees and the trees that split apart we'll 
figure out something to do with those.  We have blown computers and houses 
with damage ranging from minimum to extensive.  Any casualties?"  Asked 
Sally.  "Just one."  Replied Stacie.  "Our good friend and weather guy 
Robert Crane.  I'm sorry."  Said Sally.  "Well now that you have seen the 
village we can get started."  Said Jaxson changing the subject.  "Yes why 
don't we start, um Rotor will you help them with their computer problems.  
Sonic, you Tails and Bunnie help rebuild houses.  What will you be doing 
princes?"  Asked Zach.  "I'll help Rotor help repair your computers.  
Alright people you heard the lady let's get to work."  Said Jaxson as they 
all headed off to their workstations.

The teams worked for hours sawing, hammering, lifting, and reprogramming.  
The outside workers were kept cool by a soft breeze while inside fans were 
running on medium.  "You know I just realized something."  Said D. J.  
"What?"  Asked Zach.  "Well if we got people leaving then why are we 
rebuilding these huts?  Because some people are staying and who knows those 
old huts we might need some day."  Replied Nick.  Yeah who knows some people 
might come back."  Replied Jaxson.  "Now common breaks not for another hour 
now get back to work."  Said Jaxson.
Just then Kathryn walked by to check on Jaxson's progress.  "You know Jax, 
there's something about you in a black tank top, old jeans with holes in the 
knees, and a tool belt that just makes me uh forget it.  What?"  Said Jaxson 
with a grin.  Kathryn just smiled and said... "Nevermind Jax."  Jaxson 
walked up behind her and put his arms around her.  "Common what is it?"  
Kathryn turned around and looked Jaxson in the eyes and said... "Well it 
makes me want to tell you to take a shower, you stink."  With that the 
entire crew rolled over laughing.  "HA, HA!  She's right you know I can 
smell you from here."  Commented Zach.  "Ha, ha, very funny back to work you 
guys."  Said Jaxson discouraged as every one went back to work.

An hour later the teams were at the village café eating an early dinner, 
(It's about 7:30 p.m. their.)  On the other side of the village a black fox 
wearing boots, a belt that sort of hung off her hip, a belt that went over 
her left shoulder, a bow on her right shoulder, a red baseball cap with her 
sticking out the other end, and a cross bow on her right wrist.  She 
eventually got to the deck of the café after stopping to take a look around. 
  She stopped at one of the tables on the deck and with a fluent British 
accent she said... "Pardon me but do you know where I can find Jaxson 
Jaguar?"
As soon as Jaxson heard that voice he jumped up.  "Rhiannon?  Rhiannon is 
that you?"  Asked Jaxson enthusiastically as he jumped over the railing on 
the deck and ran to Rhiannon giving her a big hug.  "Rhiannon where you been 
all this time?  It's been ages.  I've been living in one of the villeges 
down in the middle of the Peninsula.  Well what brings you back here?"  
Asked Kathryn.  "Kathryn?  Hi Rhiannon."  Rhiannon walked over and gave 
Kathryn a big hug.  "So like I said what brings you back?  Well after I 
heard of that dreadful hurricane I decided I should come back and help you 
guys rebuild and finish off Edwin.  Or have you already done that?  No he's 
still a problem."  Said Jaxson.  "Good I didn't miss anything.  Well enough 
chit chat why don't you two show me around the old village."  Jaxson and 
Kathryn showed their friend what was they could show her of the village.
After a few minutes of walking the trio ran in to someone Rhiannon defiantly 
didn't want to see.  "Zachary, how are you doing?  Rhiannon, what are you 
doing back here?  I decided it's time I comeback make amends with my friends 
who because of you I had to walkout on.  It is not my fault you walked out 
on everybody.  Oh really, well news flash you never tell your girlfriend 
what to do.  I didn't want to lose you.  Well guess what you lost me and you 
are definitely not getting me back."  With that the two went their separate 
ways again.  "Kat we better stop Rhi before she leaves again.  Ditto.  
Rhiannon wait."  Said Kathryn as they ran after the frustrated fox.
Mean while back at the café Kevin and Rotor were going over the many 
inventions and other techno stuff they knew about.  Stacie and Sally were 
discussing politics and other things.  Sonic, Tails, Nick, Donavan, and Al 
were busy chowing down on dinner.  While D. J. was trying to strike a 
conversation with Bunnie.  "Sugah just so you know I am seeing someone."  
Said Bunnie who was eating a salad.  "Shoot, that also killed any possible 
means of a conversation.  Don't beat your self up sugah there's some one out 
there for you.  I sure hope so."
Just then Kathryn, Jaxson, and Rhiannon showed up.  "Cyprus Knee Freedom 
Fighters I have someone here I think you will be most pleased to meet."  
Announced Jaxson.  "Cyprus knee Freedom Fighters join us in welcoming back 
Rhiannon Fleetwood."  Kathryn said as she showed everyone the returned fox.  
"Rhiannon, is that you?"  Said Stacie.  "Home girl your back."  Said Al as 
he jumped off the deck and gave Rhiannon a hug so big he lifted her off the 
ground.  "ALBERT!  It's good to see you too but put me down please.  Oh 
sorry.  Albert you haven't changed a bit.  Well I try."  The rest of the 
Cyprus Knee F. F. jumped down to give her a big group hug.
Donavan not knowing what was going on walked over to Jaxson.  "Jaxson who's 
she?  Donavan that's an old friend of mine her names Rhiannon.  Oh that girl 
you were talking about during the last part of the hurricane.  That's 
right."  Rhianon turned around and saw Donavan standing there.  "Who are 
you?  My names Donavan, I'm Jaxson's cousin.  You are well what are you 
doing here?  Jax has been taking care of me since my parents died.  Oh I'm 
sorry."  Said Rhiannon as she put her hand on Donavans shoulder.  "Well how 
bout we find you a hut to move in to.  You have huts available?  Yeah since 
a lot of people are moving out we have some vacant huts available."  Said 
Jaxson.  "Here I'll show you one you can stay in."  Said Kathryn as he took 
Rhiannon to one of the vacant huts.
It wasn't too much longer till the teams were back to work.  Jaxson and the 
others were now working on one of the huts' roof.  "Hey Jax, does Rhiannon 
still have a thing for Zach?"  Asked Nick.  "No way man, she is totally over 
him.  Why?  Just wondering.  It sounds like you have a thing for her Nick."  
Said Sonic.  "Is it that obvious?  Nick I've known you for a long time now 
and I now and I know when you have a thing for someone."  Said Jaxson.  "Hey 
Bunnie could you send up another thing of nails please?  Sure thing sugah."  
Jaxson said as Bunnie, using her robotic legs to elevate her to the roof.  
"Here you go sugah.  Thanks Bunnie."  With that Bunnie lowered her self back 
down to the ground.  "So what do you think I should do Jax?  Well being you 
self helps."  Said Sonic.  "You think that will work.  Sure that's how I got 
Sally, besides it's worth a shot.  Your right tomorrow after she has had 
time to settle in I'll ask her if she wants to go out with me.  That's the 
spirit now let's get back to work."  Said Jaxson

On the other side of the village in the weather station a team was hard at 
work trying to fix the computers there that had gotten blown during the 
hurricane.  "So your saying your friend Robert died hear watching the 
storm."  Said Sally.  "That's right.  He couldn't take his eyes off the 
screen and when the bolt hit he was electrocuted and we couldn't do anything 
about it."  Said Kathryn.  "By the way has anyone seen Julie?  Asked Kevin.  
No I haven't seen her."  Replied Kathryn.  Who's Julie?"  Asked Rotor.  
Julie was Roberts' sister" Replied Kevin.  "Maybe she's in her hut.  I think 
we should pay her a visit.  Just imagine how she's feeling.  Your right 
Kevin maybe we should pay her a visit."  Said Stacie.
Stacie, Kathryn, Kevin, and Zach went off to Julie's hut in order to try and 
comfort their friend.  As they got to her front door they didn't know which 
one of them should knock.  "I'm not doing it you do it" Said Zach to Kevin.  
"Stacie you do it."  Said Kevin.  "I'll do it."  Said Kathryn as she walked 
up and knocked on the door.  There was an odd silence as everyone waited for 
an answer.  Stacie was the first to speak up.  "I think we should go in.  
Who's with me?"  The others nodded in agreement.  Stacie turned the doorknob 
slowly and easily opened the door.
There were no lights on just the light from the late afternoon sun shinning 
through the windows.  The group looked around for traces of life but all 
they could see was the dress that Julie had worn to the funeral laid out on 
the couch.  They continued to look around the living room, kitchen, and 
dinning room but she was no where to be found.  The group advanced to the 
bedroom where they found her asleep in a corner of the room.  Kathryn walked 
up to her slowly, put her hand on her shoulder and shook her gently.  The 
female crane awoke from her sleep but slowly.
"Kathryn what are you doing here?"  Julie asked in a slightly groggy voice.  
"We thought that you might need a friend.  We?"  Said Julie confused but 
then she noticed the rest of the group standing behind Kathryn.  The group 
went to the dinning room and sat at the table to discuss what was going on.  
"Julie have you been in here since the funeral?"  Asked Stacie.  "Yes I 
have.  I've just wanted to be alone with my thoughts.  Julie in a time like 
this it's good to have friends with you."  Said Kevin.  "That's right.  In a 
time of need everyone needs a shoulder to cry."  Added Kathryn.  "Thank you 
guys for visiting but maybe I just need to be alone or get a fresh start.  
Excuse me."  Said Zach.  "What do you mean a fresh start?"  Asked Zach.  
"I've been thinking of leaving and going to Mobotropolis.  Julie I know your 
going through some hard times but you just can't pack up and leave.  Your 
friends are here all your memories are here.  You can't just leave them 
behind and expect things to get better."  Said Kathryn trying to change her 
friend's mind.  "No my minds made up as soon as I can I'm leaving.  There 
will be no stopping me.  If that's the way you feel then more power to you.  
Common guys let's go."  Said Stacie as she got up from the table and headed 
for the door.  Julie if you need any help my door is always open.  Thanks 
Kat.  C-ya around Julie.  You too Kat."  With that Kathryn and the rest of 
the group walked out the door knowing they tried their best to help their 
friend through an obviously hard time.

Meanwhile the groups that were assigned to repairing hut had just finished 
and were packing up.  As Jaxson climbed down from the roof he noticed 
Kathryn walking around looking very upset.  "Hey Kat what's wrong?  Julie's 
moving to Mobotropolis.  Doesn't she know we need her here?  I tried to tell 
her that but she made up her mind and she's leaving.  And don't try to stop 
her she's very determined to leave it all behind her.  Wish there were some 
way we could change her mind.  Their isn't best bets are she's leaving 
tomorrow."  Jaxson then looked at the sky, which was mostly dark purple with 
a hint of day light in the distance.
Jaxson showed their visitors where they could sleep for the night.  Jaxson 
went back to his own hut.  He walked in and flopped down on the couch.  Jax 
you look depressed."  Said Donavan who sat down next to him.  I guess I am.  
Donavan, do you think I'm a good leader?  Sure I do cous.  Why do you ask?  
I was just wondering.  You see I got people moving out and they say it's 
because of other reasons but I question their reasons.  I mean, I hope it's 
not because of me that they're leaving.  Jax why don't you sleep on it and 
maybe you'll feel better tomorrow.  You're right.  Good night Don.  Good 
night Jax.  With that the two went in to their rooms for a much-needed rest.

The next morning everyone met at the café for breakfast and to say goodbye 
and thanks.  "So Rhiannon how was your first night back here in Cyprus 
Knee?"  Asked Nick.  "It was just like old times thanks.  Um Rihannon if 
you're not busy would you want to go out sometime?"  Asked Nick trying not 
to stutter.  Rhiannon just looked at him and smiled.  "Of corse I think it's 
time I started a new relationship along with my new life here.  That's great 
Rhiannon."  Replied Nick not knowing what to say.
"Well guys if you ever need help again just call okay."  Said Sally as she 
finished her breakfast.  "There will be no hesitation Princes."  Said 
Jaxson.  "Well we best be leaving.  It was good to have met all of you."  
Said Sally as she and the rest of the former Freedom Fighters from 
Mobotropolis got up from their seats, shook hands, and loaded their boat for 
home.  With one last wave of goodbye the boat was on its way back to 
Mobotropolis.

Two hours later everything had pretty much gotten back to normal in Cyprus 
Knee.  People were up in the look out trees, the hospital was less crowded, 
and life was restored in the remote village of Cyprus Knee.  "JAXSON."  
Yelled Kevin as he ran to Jaxson.  "What is it Kevin?  Message from the C. 
K. S. N., we got us a mission Jax.  Get the regular crowd together and 
Rhiannon.  It's time to go back to work."  Said Jaxson.  And so the 
adventures of the Cyprus Knee Freedom Fighters continues.



Well everything in Cyprus Knee is now back to normal and the adventures 
continue.  Many things are changing for the Cyprus Knee F. F. including the 
return of an old friend Rhiannon Fleetwood.  What adventures will these 
Freedom Fighters have in the future?  Only time will tell.  The next 
fanfiction will be called "MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS".  In this Kathryn will 
meet with a person she knew was alive and has control over her own mind, her 
mother Sarah the leader of the Cyprus Knee Spy Network, a person Kathryn 
hasn't spoken to in years even when she had the chance.  Till then C-ya.
