BROTHERS & SISTERS

Deep in the middle of a swamp in the southeastern peninsula lives one of the
few remaining Freedom Fighter groups, the Cypress Knee Freedom Fighters.
Their leader is the son of the late Captain Mark Jaguar, Jaxson Jaguar. But
at the moment he is looking for his mom so Princess Stacie Leo is in charge.
The newest member of the C.K.F.F. Comix da Hedgehog has settled in to his
new home pretty well these past few weeks, but what he doesn't know is that
his life will get a little more hectic.
The C.K.F.F. had converged on a mission into River City to recover some
needed computer parts. The team of four was consisting of Kevin Green,
Rhiannon Fleetwood, D.J. O'Hare, and Comix da Hedgehog. "We're almost at
the spot." Said Kevin as the team entered a warehouse on the westside of
the city. The team crept in through the skylight of the building and slowly
worked their way to the groundfloor. "Kevin, what are we looking for
again?" Asked D.J. "A piece of the main computer. Comix here is what we
need." Kevin handed Comix a computer chip that looks like the one they
need. "Did you guys check for motion detectors?" Asked Comix has he put
the chip in his backpack. "I scanned before we came in. Your clear to go."
Said Rhiannon.
With that Comix ran over to the main computer in what seemed to be less then
a second. He pulled off a panel in the back of the computer and took out
the chip in his backpack. He looked around in the tanglement of wires till
he found what he was looking for. He reached in and grabbed four of the
chips, but as soon as he did that an alarm sounded. "IT'S A TRAP!" Yelled
Kevin. All of a sudden all the swatbots in the warehouse were firing on the
Freedom Fighters
"Any ideas Kevin?" Asked Comix. "Just one, and that is to blast our way
out." Kevin and D.J. pulled out their hand guns and started firing back.
Rhiannon was taking out bots with her arrows and Comix was slashing at them
with his sword. The four edged closer to the door when all of a sudden more
bots showed up coming in through the back. Comix turned around and
spindashed the front doors open giving everyone a means to get away. The
four then ran outside, jumped on their hovercycles and flew off into the
swamp. "Well at least we got the chips." Said D.J. "Yeah but it might be
a good idea to scan them to make sure their genuine." Suggested Comix.
"That's just what I'll do Comix. That was defiantly a setup back there."
With that the four went back to their base of Cypress Knee.
The four flew in and climbed off their cycles and stumbled off to their
huts. Kevin went to his workshop to scan the chips as Nick came up to
Rhiannon. "Rhi you okay?" Asked Nick. "I'm okay luve." She said tired.
"Here, I tell you what. Later I'll give you a massage." He said. "I love
you." She said as she and Nick went off to her hut. Comix was walking down
by the docks when he noticed a boat was gone. Suddenly he saw Al pull up in
one of his motor boats with a large brown sack. "MAIL CALL." He yelled.
Soon there was a crowd gathered at the docks.
"Hey Comix there is a postcard here for you from Mobotropolis." Said Al as
he tossed Comix the postcard. It was from a foster home in Mobotropolis.
It read,
Dear Comix da Hedgehog,
We can no longer look after your younger brother and sister Sonix and Jami
Hedgehog. It is our only option to send them to live with you in Cypress
Knee. They will be arriving in three days.

"Ah jeez" He said putting his hand on his head. He then walked over to
Stacie's hut to ask her if his siblings can move in. He approached her
front door and knocked. "Come in." Said Stacie who was doing some work at
her desk. "Oh hi Comix how can I help you?" She said as Comix came in and
took a seat in front of her desk. "So what do you need Comix?" She asked.
"Well I got this postcard from Mobotropolis saying that my little brother
and sister will be arriving in three days, and I was hopping you would allow
them to stay with me." He said. "How old are they?" She asked. "Their
both five- year-old twins." He answered. "Do you have room for them in
your hut?" She asked. "Yes the only huts that were available have three
rooms." He said. "Alright as long as you remember that they are your
responsibility and you keep an eye on them they can stay." She said. Comix
stood up, thanked the Princess and left to fix up his hut.
A few hours passed and Comix was sitting on his couch and thinking about his
little brother and sister coming to live with him. Just then there was a
knock at the door. "Who is it?" Asked Comix. "It's me Rhiannon." She
answered. "Come in." Rhiannon stepped in holding a C.D. "Here is that
game you let me borrow." She said handing him the disk. "Thanks Rhi. Did
you like it?" He asked. "Oh yeah, it was very good. Don't take me rude
but I noticed you cleaned up a bit." She said. "That's okay I'm getting
ready for my little brother and sister to come and live with me." He said.
"Oh, you know I have two sisters myself." She said. "Cool. You need
anything else?" He asked. "No, no thanks see you around Comix." She said
as she went out the door. "See ya Rhi." Said Comix as he went back inside
and this time lay down on his couch.
On the other side of Cypress Knee, Kathryn was messing with her computer
when she noticed she had mail. She clicked on the mailbox icon and read the
message.
Dear Kathryn
Donavan and me still haven't found my mother but we are still looking. We
have had many leads but so far nothing definite. I miss you so much, not a
moment goes by I don't either think of you or my mother. I promise I'll be
back as soon as I can. Till then I'll be counting down the days till I can
hold you in my arms again.
Love
Jaxson.
She had been waiting for a message from Jaxson for some time now and she was
also counting the days till Jaxson would be home.
The next day Comix was on the deck of the café eating a sandwich when Kevin
came to the table with his lunch. "Mind if I sit here man?" Asked Kevin.
"No, not at all." He said as Kevin sat down across from him. "So did you
scan those chips?" Asked Comix. "Yeah I did." He answered. "So are they
genuine?" Asked Comix. "Luckily they are, but I don't understand if Edwin
knew we were coming why would he leave the genuine chips there for us to
take." Wondered Kevin. "Has he ever done a trap like that before?" Asked
Comix. "No, but there is another explanation. And that is, he may have in
stalled a new security system. One that can detect if a piece of any
machinery has been tampered with or removed." Explained Kevin. "Your
probably right. And if so it will make our missions that much harder."
Said Comix. "I know. I'll check with the C.K.S.N. later to see if they
know anything." Said Kevin. "You want to come?" He asked Comix. "Sure
why not." Answered Comix. "Alright then later will go and check with the
C.K.S.N." He said as he and Comix went on with their lunches.
The two finished their lunches and headed over to the new hovercycle garage,
hopped some hovercycles and headed off to River City to talk with the
C.K.S.N. "You say that Edwin might have installed a new security system in
the computers." Said Sarah as she walked with the two down into the main
room of the C.K.S.N.H.Q. "That's our theory right now." Said Comix. "Well
let me check, honestly it seems a little farfetched but I will look in on
it." She said. "Thanks Sarah we owe you." Said Kevin. "You have no idea
how much you owe me Kevin." Said Sarah.
Sarah walked over to one of the main computers and hacked into Edwin's
security files. It turned out that Edwin had installed silent alarms in his
computers and generators. "Well you two were right. Edwin did install
alarms in the computers." She explained. "So it's true." Said Kevin. "So
what do we do to turn off this system?" Asked Comix. "I'll look in on that
but it will take a while. I'll contact you when I find something." Said
Sarah. "Thanks Sarah will stand by" Said Kevin as he and Comix left.
"Any ideas of what we might do Kevin?" Said Comix talking to Kevin through
a communicator in his helmet as they flew back to Cypress Knee. "Well
sometimes we would send Kathryn in to bug the system. Other times a team
and me would go in and cut some wires. But most of the time we did what
Jaxson said, if it was a good idea that is." Said Kevin. "You know I can't
wait to meet this Jaxson guy you guys keep talking about." Said Kevin.
"Well my friend, you'll get your chance sooner or later." After that it
wasn't long till they were back in Cypress Knee.
The two then went to Stacie's hut to tell her what they found out. "So your
saying there is a new security system in River City." Said Stacie. "That's
right." Said Kevin. "We're waiting for Sarah to give us more info." Said
Comix. "I see, well until then no missions into River City. Until we get
word on how to cut this system I want every one here. Is that clear?" Said
Stacie. "Crystal." Replied Kevin as he and Comix left the hut. "Wait
Kevin can I have a word with you in private please." Said Stacie just as
Kevin was a bout to walk out. "See you later Kevin." Said Comix as he left
the hut closing the door behind him.
"Yes Stacie?" He said as Stacie got up from behind her desk. She walked up
to Kevin and out of no where she kissed him. "Good work calling Comix out
but how long do you think we can keep up the secrecy?" Said Kevin. "I don't
know Kevin, but do we really want them to find out about us?" Said Stacie
as she sat down on her couch. "Good point, but we have to tell them some
time." Said Kevin as he sat next to her. "If we don't tell them one of
them will find out and soon the whole village will know." He said. "Well
we'll tell them when the time is right. Now shut up and kiss me." She
said. "Yes my Princess." He said as he put his arms around her and kissed
her.
Later that evening Comix, D.J., and Albert were at the café having dinner
and talking as usual. "Al, why are you so protective of your boats? I mean
you treat your boats as if they were children." Said Comix. "Hey, those
two hydroplanes of mine use to be my pops. So I feel I need to keep them in
the finest condition. If my dad ever found one thing wrong with a boat in
his fleet he would keep it docked until the problem was fixed." Said Al.
"Okay, sorry I asked." Said Comix.
"So Comix, you got someone special in Mobotropolis?" Asked D.J. "Yeah I
do, her name is Mimi. She is kind of a mix of echidna and hedgehog." Said
Comix. "How she look?" Asked Al. "None of your business." Replied Comix.
"Common Comix." Begged D.J. "I'm only going to tell you this. She's
beautiful, and I love her. Enough for you?" Said Comix. "Yeah I guess."
Said Al. After that the three went to turn in for the night. Comix needed
to try and get some sleep for the next day was the day his brother and
sister came.
The next day Comix got up bright and early so he could do some last minute
preparations to his hut. It was about 8:30 when the plane caring his
siblings made it's final approach to Cypress Knee. The wheels screeched
loudly as the plane touched down on the runway of the Cypress Knee airport.
The first person to walk off the plane was a middle-aged owl carrying a note
pad. "Are you Comix da Hedgehog?" She asked. "Yes ma'am." He answered.
"I'm with the Mobotropolis Foster Home Association, and before I leave your
brother and sister in your custody I need you to sign this form saying that
you are their legal guardian." Comix signed the form and as he did the
woman thanked him and got back on the plane.
Not long after she got on the plane but two young hedgehogs came running
off. "COMIX!" They yelled as they ran to him with open arms. The twins
jumped up on Comix knocking him to the ground. "Sonix, Jami, it's great to
see you again. Now will you mind letting me get up." The two got off of
him as Comix lifted himself up off the ground. Sonix was five years old and
was green, his twin sister Jami, was a pinkish purple color. Both were
carrying two suitcases and backpacks. The rest of their stuff had to be put
on two hovertrailers to be brought to Comix's hut.
The three got to Comix's hut, and as soon as they got in the door they just
dropped their stuff right then and there. The two young hedgehogs looked
around Comix's hut in amazement. "Wow Comix! This hut is much bigger then
your last hut." Said Sonix. While Sonix was admiring the hut his sister
Jami was looking at the bedrooms. "Which room is mine Comix?" Asked Jami.
"Well Jami I haven't really figured that one out. You can pick which room
you want just stay away from mine." Said Comix. "Which one is yours?"
Asked Jami. "Probably the messiest one." Said Sonix. Comix herd this and
tackled his brother on the couch and started to tickle him."
Just then there was a knock at the door. Comix answered the door and saw
Kathryn, Nick, Rhiannon, and Zach standing at his doorstep. "Can I help you
guys?" He asked with a confused look on his face. "Well we noticed the
load of luggage you have out here, and we were wondering if you needed a
hand?" Said Zach. "Well I guess I could use some help." As soon as Comix
finished that the four were already bringing in some of the luggage. They
walked and placed them on the living room floor. All together it took the
four volunteers a little under thirty minutes to bring in all the stuff.
"Well that's every thing." Said Kathryn, and with that they walked off.
"Wait a sec." Said Comix leaning out of his doorway. "Thanks for your help
and I just want you guys to know that my door is always open." And with
that he closed the door and went back into his hut.
The sun was setting on Cypress Knee when Comix and his sibling finally got
all the stuff put away. They then went to the café to have dinner and when
they got there all the rest of the Freedom Fighters had tables pushed
together and waiting for their meals. Comix and his sibs decided to join
them and pulled a few chairs to the table. "So Comix are you going to
introduce your new roommates with us?" Asked D.J. "Well Kathryn, Rhiannon,
Nick, Zach, you guys have already met. Everybody else this is Sonix and
Jami." Said Comix as his brother and sister stood on their chairs and
waved. "Jami, Sonix, the guys you haven't met are, Stacie, Kevin, D.J., and
Albert." He said as each of them waved.
Everybody ordered their dinners and ate and talked till about 8:30 then the
group broke up. Comix walked his sibling's back to the nut and put them to
sleep. On the other side of town Kevin and Stacie were in Kevin'' workshop
making out when all of a sudden an e-mail alert sounded one of the workshops
computers. The two got it together and answered the e-mail. The e-mail was
from Sarah with news about the security system.
Dear Freedom Fighters,
After doing some research I have found that the source of the security
system is in Edwin's main computer room. The only way to get near the
controls for it is to insert a code, which can only be found in Edwin's
memory banks. If you can get to it do whatever possible to destroy it.

Without saying a word Stacie sounded the call for a meeting. She and Kevin
kissed one more time then ran to the meeting hut. In no time at all
Kathryn, Nick, Rhiannon, Albert, Zach, Comix, and D.J. were in the meeting
hut. "We just got word that Sarah has found the control panel of the new
security system in River City." Said Stacie. "It is located in Edwin's
main computer room and Edwin has the codes to get to it." She said as she
looked at Kathryn. "Kathryn you think you can crack the codes?" She asked.
"I'll try but it might be risky. But hey that is what we live for right."
She said as she stood up. "Well then I want you, Kevin and Comix to
destroy the security system. Zach and me will also accompany you. Let's
get it on guys." Said Stacie as the team left the hut and went out on the
mission.
A few minutes later the team was out side the old palace. "The plan goes
like this, me and Zach will stay out here while you guys take on the mission
in there. Now hurry Edwin is just now starting his recharging process."
Said Stacie as the group broke up and three of them were off to complete the
mission. Just as the three broke into the main computer room Edwin was in
his recharging chamber totally out of it. Kathryn then started to work.
She inserted a small computer that started to try and crack the access
codes. It was the hardest code she ever had to crack.
Time was running out for the three. It usually does not take Edwin long to
recharge and time was getting really short. Kathryn's computer had only
cracked two out of four codes and soon they were getting desperate. Then
out of no where Kathryn turned around, grabbed Comix's sword and sliced off
the code box and the door opened. The three didn't have time to think
Kathryn pulled out a grenade and threw it at the security panel. The
grenade exploded and woke up Edwin.
Edwin woke up and came after the three. "Well, well, I finally developed
some codes that not even Kathryn can crack." Edwin had the three cornered
when all of a sudden Stacie showed up shooting everywhere giving the three
the distraction to get away. The three were running out when Comix was
grabbed from behind by Edwin and yanked back. "I don't believe we met
hedgehog..." Before Edwin could finish Comix spin dashed out of Edwin's grip
and tossed another grenade at the security console and sped out of there.
As Comix came out the front of the palace the grenade went off and so was
the team. The team took their time getting back to Cypress Knee but when
they got back something else happened. "Comix, Sonix and Jami are missing."
Said Rhiannon. "Where do you think they went?" Asked Comix. "There is a
good chance they went looking for you." Replied Rhiannon. With that Comix
Turned around and went back to River City. At the edge of the swamp Sonix,
and Jami entered River City looking for their brother. "Are you sure he is
here?" Said Jami. "He said he was coming here." Said Sonix. Then out of
no where the two were snatched up by a swatbot.
It wasn't long till Comix flew in on his hovercycle, shot the bot that had
his siblings and picked them up and headed out. But soon more swatbots
gathered. "Alright you two hold on." Said Comix as he attempted to fight
his way out. Unfortunately a whole squad of bots overwhelmed him. But soon
the number got smaller as Kathryn flew in and shot down a large number of
bots. As soon as Comix had room he punched on the excelarator and jammed
out of there.
Back in Comix's hut he sat down his brother and sister to have a talk with
them. "What were you thinking going off like that?" He said frustrated.
"We thought you needed help." Said Jami. "You are not old enough to go
into River City. Don't ever pull a stunt like that again ever. I don't
want to lose you two." He said as he bentdown and hugged them. He just
stayed there hugging them till he eventually stood up and sent them to bed.
He then sat on the couch and thought, "This is going to be harder then I
thought." He said as he too went to bed.
Hi all it's me again, sorry it took so long since the last story but hey I'm
back. Anyway this story was dedicated to my best friend Comix who is now
writing his own fanfictions, good luck to him. My next story we catch up
with Jaxson and Donavan on their search for Jaxson's mom Tonya. Does he
find her or is it just a wild goose chase? The answers in the next story.
