Ellie-Za

Like Julie-Su, Ellie-Za was born and raised in the Dark Legion. She, Julie-Su and Moni-Ca have been friends since childhood, the friendship becoming somewhat strained when Julie-Su was compelled to follow the Guardian Knuckles. Ellie-Za held a grudge against the Guardian for some time, but still helped him to the best of her ability when he was captured by the Dark Legion, out of respect for Julie-Su.

Though physically the largest of the trio, she is actually the youngest. She is very much a ‘tom-boy’, caring little for her physical appearance, and holds little interesting in finding her own Soultouched love, getting enough romance in her life by seeing others happy (primarily Julie-Su and Knuckles). She is also the most level-headed of the trio, thinking things through before she acts. Like most echidnas, she doesn’t trust easily and is a very private being, but once her trust is earned, she is fiercely loyal to any she calls friend.

Her affinity for technology was discovered at an early age and she was transferred to the Legion’s research and development branch to work on new weapons for the cause. It was here that she developed the force-field bubble that was used to encase the Floating Island, and the artificial Chaos crystals that were incorporated into Knuckles’ Dark Legion attire. She is something of a ‘pack-rat’, collecting all sorts of technological odds and end for use in future projects.

After she left the Dark Legion she spent some time in Haven, assisting the Brotherhood in upgrading their security and surveillance systems. She also designed new communications devices to give the Brotherhood a better link with Constable Remington and the outside world.

She then took up residence in Echidnaopolis, working with the ESTs and, on occasion, the Chaotix.
