Dark Knux

A usually noble being twisted inside out by black magic, Knuckles turned against those he called friends, siding instead with his greatest enemy, Dimitri.

While under the dark influence of the spell, Knuckles led devastating attacks on Knothole, Robotropolis and the Mysterious Cat Country, with little concern for the beings he encountered. He acted in a manner that normally would have repulsed him, destroying the despot Robotnik without a second thought, an act which he had previously considered during the battle with the legendary water beast, Chaos, but abandoned due to his own sense of honour.

Unknown, but suspected, Knuckles had his own agenda. He planned to use Dimitri’s forces to take power over all the nations of Mobius, and then rid himself of his hated uncle, taking charge himself. To accomplish this he allowed Miles "Tails" Prower to go free when he took prisoners at Knothole, intending to do to the young fox, the ‘Chosen One’ of ancient prophecy, that which had been done to him, turn him to darkness with the help of magic.

Fortunately for all involved, the one thing that was not effected by the spell was the Soultouch Knuckles shared with Julie-Su. Though the spell had tainted him, bringing out his more primal desires, he still remained devoted to her, so much so, that he completely spurned the obvious advances of Kommisar. The love the pair felt for each other was strong enough to counter the spell, the implication of which scared them both, freeing Knuckles who immediately set about setting things straight, willingly laying down his own life to correct the harm he’d done.

Though there is no corroborating evidence to confirm it, he is believed dead.
