Sonic had never been the type to say goodbye before he left. Today wasn't any different. He picked up his shoes off the floor, put them on his feet and preceeded to leave at once. As he opened the door he looked back on the people he was leaving behind. Amy and Tails were fast asleep. Amy on the couch, Tails laying on the carpeted floor beside the couch Amy was on, wrapped in a sleeping bag. Sonic had been in a hammock attached to two tall lamps. Of course he was the farthest away from everyone else. The three had all fell asleep in the living room of Amy's apartment. They were watching movies and eating popcorn all night, that and talking about some old adventures they had been on and how funny it was that during each adventure Amy was only there because she was chasing after Sonic.
          Sonic closed the door and stepped back into the room. He walked over to Tails first. "Goodbye 'ol pal." He said patting Tails on the head and then leaning over to tuck him in. He then turned toward Amy. "Sorry, but you won't be able to follow me this time. I don't even know where I'm headed so It's highly unlikely you will." Sonic stopped to think for awhile "But then again, you always do." Finally, after giving his friends his final farewell, he walked toward the door and out.
