SONIC QUEST: THE DEATH EGG SAGA, Part 3: OVER EASY

In his Swatbot disguise, Tails slips out the control room only to be attacked by Sonic. While Tails ducked the first pass, he wasn't able to dodge the others until Sonic realized that Tails was inside because Tails' tails showed from the back. Sonic apologizes to Tails and then plans to take care of business. Sonic runs toward Robotnik only to hit some plexiglass that Robotnik put up since he heard Sonic attacking in the hallway. While Sonic is trying to orient himself, Robotnik brings down another wall of plexiglass behind Sonic and sends in poison gas into the trap. However, Tails uses the Swatbot's body to bust through the wall on the other side. Tails uses the built-in lasers to blast the control panel, which not only frees Sonic from his trap, but also causes the Death Egg to launch itself toward space--releasing the Floating Island. While the sudden thrust keeps Sonic & Tails down, Robotnik uses a stabilizing field to allow himself to move as he goes to make his escape.

The Floating Island rises up to its normal height in the sky and the Chaotix are sent off to do damage reports.

Robotnik only considers this a minor setback as he still plans on roboticizing everyone once he gets rid of Sonic & Tails. Robotnik sends a gigantic robot called Silver Sonic after the duo. Silver Sonic is too strong for Sonic, but Sonic uses a ripped electrical cord to short-circuit Silver Sonic. Robotnik is outraged and changes into his new battle armor called "Eggs-O-Skeleton." Robotnik sets out to beat Sonic only to find that Sonic has gone inside Silver Sonic and controls it from the inside. Robotnik and Sonic start duking it out as Tails comes in requesting a "time out" so Sonic sends Robotnik through the ceiling. Tails says he rigged the Death Egg to blow up in 20 minutes, but because of Sonic & Robotnik's fighting it could go off at any moment. As the duo start to leave, they find a box filled with rings which Sonic takes with him. As the duo reach the ground, the Death Egg explodes, which can be heard throughout Mobius. Tails comments on the fireworks as Sonic hears his communicator go off. Sally tells them to return to Knothole as King Acorn is critical.

Meanwhile, parachuting into "Snivopolis" is Robotnik. Robotnik is angry considering his Death Egg has been destroyed and is now wondering what Snively has been doing. Robotnik decides to drop into his penthouse to find out, not noticing that Snively is sleeping in his chair. As Robotnik lands in his chair, he sees flowers and a picture of Snively's mother--which Robotnik considers to be a complete outrage and stands up, calling for Snively. Snively wonders to himself, which is worse--facing Robotnik's wrath or being stuck on Robotnik's backside.
