RETURN TO ALBION, Part 1: PICKING UP THE PIECES

Knuckles, who's been out of it "for over the past twelve hours," wakes up to find himself drifting on a piece of debris and that the Floating Island isn't anywhere in sight. He's confronted by Athair, who has "evolved beyond" his physical form. Athair tells Knuckles that he might be able to find the answers to his questions at Albion with Rob O' the Hedge's help and then disappears. Knuckles uses the Guiding Star Gem that he keeps in his gloves to help lead him to Albion.

Meanwhile in Deerwood Forest, Mari-An, who's holding their baby, and Rob are in their tree-top hut. Rob notices that there is some sort of movement in the forest and goes to investigate. As he lands on the ground, he sees the silhouette that looks like the High Sheriff. Rob takes aim and fires an arrow which manages to cause his target's arm to be stuck to a tree. However, it's not the High Sheriff, but Antoine, who is surprised, along with his companions Bunnie and Amy Rose. Rob tells them to "stand and deliver" but Amy recognizes her cousin and hugs him. Rob doesn't believe that she's Amy because his cousin is "a mere lass." Amy explains that she "wished upon the Ring of Acorns" and she aged physically. Rob basically thinks this is all bad and continues to keep his bow trained on Antoine, who tries to explain that he's a royal guardsman. Rob refuses to listen until Knuckles appears from the shadows and says Antoine is "definitely one of the good guys." Rob asks why is everyone here and Antoine says that he, Bunnie, and Amy are here to search for his father and Knuckles is here to find out about the Floating Island. Knuckles says that the anwers are probably in Albion and asks who's with him?
