In Mobotropolis, Sally, Antoine, Bunnie, Rotor, and Hamlin are working when Hamlin notices an aircraft coming toward the city. As it gets closer, they recognize Knuckles and notice that he brought someone with him. Once the boogie lands, Knuckles introduces Julie-Su to the Freedom Fighters that are present. Sally tells Knuckles that she needs him to do her a favor again. The Freedom Fighters recently discovered that Sword of Acorns that Knuckles gave her is a fake and she would like him to try and find the real one. However, Knuckles declines because of the enormous amount of changes on the Floating Island, including meeting his mother who he thought was dead. Sally tells Antoine to take Knuckles to see Sonic, because they both have something in common that they don't know about. In the meantime, Julie-Su spent her time with Sally and the other Freedom Fighters.

When Knuckles and Sonic meet, they don't fight. In fact, they decide that they should be friends! Suddenly, a voice shouts, "Maurice!" A roboticized Mobian named Jules appears and when he gets near Sonic he says, "Oh, there you are, Maurice." Antoine starts laughing and says that Sonic probably has a geeky middle name, too. Jules says that Maurice is Sonic's middle name, but before Jules can say what Sonic's first name is, Sonic cuts him off. This makes Antoine hysterical, and Antoine runs off deciding he must tell everyone while Sonic chases him. Knuckles asks Jules if he's Sonic's father. Jules and Knuckles both admit they have their family problems. Jules tells Knuckles that Knuckles has to come to dinner because if no one showed up, he'd never hear the end of it.
