ENDGAME, Part 3: ESCAPE FROM THE FLOATING ISLAND

Sonic decided to take his chances with the waterfall than fight St. John and his men. Sonic takes some sand from his sneaker and throws it to create a landstrip for a few seconds to the ground. As fast as Sonic is, that's all he needs to get to shore without becoming a pancake. Sonic starts to head back for Knothole, while St. John and his men make their way through the caves in hot pursuit.

In Knothole, Robotnik admits that he created a robot duplicate of the King to trick them. However, he won't vaporize them because he wants them to "perish along with all the rest of the repulsive non-robotic residents of this planet!" Robotnik has another weapon of destruction which he plans to annihilate all the living beings of Mobius.

In Robotropolis, Snively has Dr. Quack give him Sally's death certificate while Dr. Quack says to himself that he's done almost everything that Robotnik wanted. Snively shows Dr. Quack his wife and kids behind bars and insinuates that he'll hurt them if Dr. Quack doesn't do as he's told. Dr. Quack's new patient is King Acorn and he has to do whatever Snively commands.

Meanwhile, Sonic is starting to get tired and gets the idea to call Dulcy by emitting a whistle that can only be heard by Dulcy. Dulcy can sense the purity of truth and believes Sonic when he tells her that he didn't kill Sally. Sonic asks her for a favor and Dulcy flies off, just as St. John gets to that exact spot. However, Sonic is still wearing his shackle that contains St. John's tracking device.

In Hershey's cottage, Drago informs Hershey that he duped her. Hershey thought she would be helping the Freedom Fighters by pretending to be Sonic, but the eye pieces made her see anyone she saw as Snively. Hershey is responsible for Sally's death because she cut the rope thinking the person climbing down was Snively.

In Downunda, Antoine and Bunnie are chained up in a dungeon with Walt Wallabee and Barby Koala, two of the Downunda Freedom Fighters. Crocbot, Robotnik's sub-boss in Downunda, has captured all the Downunda Freedom Fighters and tortures them daily and is adding Bunnie and Antoine to his list of victims. Bunnie, Antoine, Barby, and Walt start thinking of a plan to escape.

Meanwhile, Dulcy has just completed Sonic's favor, which was take to him to the Floating Island. As Dulcy lands, Knuckles jumps out of a bush and knocks out Dulcy with a punch. This starts a fight between Sonic and Knuckles, but it's interrupted as an explosion separates them and St. John says "Back off, Knuckles! If anyone's taking the hedgehog down, it'll be me!"
