Julie-Su & Knuckles are alone and Julie-Su is basically calling Knuckles crazy for agreeing to join the Dark Legion. Knuckles explains that when Tobor came out of the zone he for some reason was in Tobor's head and all he felt was anger. He says no one is getting anywhere with all the fighting. Julie-Su asks if he thinks Dimitri has the answers and Knuckles says "some--maybe."

Meanwhile, monitoring the duo is Kommissar and Dimitri, who tells her to "curb her thoughts" just in case Knuckles can truly read minds. A moment later, Knuckles and Julie-Su enter.

Dimitri: "Knuckles! What can I do for you?"
Julie-Su (whispering): "Said the spider to the fly!"
Knuckles (whispering): "Can it!"

Knuckles asks for some help with his powers. Dimitri tells him that there's nothing he can't do. Knuckles asks about traveling through time and Dimitri says "I suppose though that was the one thing I never tried!" Dimitri tells Knuckles that all he has to do is concentrate and that it'll happen.

Knuckles takes himself all the way back to when Echidnaopolis was still a part of Downunda. So he decides to destroy the comet before it came so that the Floating Island is never created. However, an earthquake occurs that devastates the city.

Knuckles goes back to present time to find everything's the same. Dimitri says that there are "too many variables" to cause a change in "historic events" which is why he never thought about changing time. Knuckles says that he's only saying that as a "quitter" or "coward" to which Dimitri responds with the fact that he knows more about physics than Knuckles ever will. Dimitri says that there are only 3 places in time that he might be able to succeed in his goal and he already blew the first one and says "Care to repeat that mistake or will you listen to me?"
