Julie-Su is complaining about hating being "cooped up," while Simon basically says that it could be worse. Kommissar enters saying that it would be worse if it were up to her and makes it clear that she won't "acknowledge" any relation to Julie-Su. She says that Dimitri would like Julie-Su to join them at the bridge.
At the bridge, Dimitri talks about how surprised he is at seeing Knuckles and thought that his revenge was complete by getting rid of all of them--including Knuckles--by sending them to some unknown zone. Knuckles tells Dimitri that he's going to bring everyone back. Dimitri says that Knux shouldn't threaten him because of what's at stake and at that moment Kommissar & Julie-Su enter the room. Julie-Su is surprised by two things: 1) To see Knuckles and 2) that he's green. She hugs him and says that she'll help him (the reactions: Dimitri: "Isn't that touching" Kommissar: "Oh, gag me!"). Dimitri goes on to say that his "willing" to return everyone to the Floating Island if Knuckles will join the Dark Legion. Julie-Su immediately says "don't do it" but Knuckles agrees to it.
As the quantum beam is getting ready to be used again, a portal to a zone opens and the echidna that emerges from it is Tobor. Tobor is shocked to see an obvious Dark Legion airship that seems to be attacking the Floating Island. When Tobor starts thinking of what he could do, Kragok exits the the portal and grabs onto Tobor. They both argue about scores to settle, when Tobor forces them both into the quantum beam cannon, which causes it to explode.
Aboard the airship, the place is rocked by the explosion. When Dimitri asks for a report, Knuckles says that it isn't necessary because they aren't under attack but doesn't explain what he knows that the others don't.
Somewhere, Hawking's "spirit" comes for Tobor's "spirit" and leads him somewhere.
Back on the airship, they find that the cannon has been destroyed. Knuckles wants to know what he can do to get his family & friends back. Dimitri says that he can "show" Knuckles, but warns him that his way isn't the same as Knux' side of the family. Knuckles says that maybe he should try something new and Dimitri officially welcomes him "to the dark side."
