At night, in an echidna's home, a husband is woken up by loud sounds coming from outside. He thinks it's some dingoes and opens the door to confront them. However, he's sadly mistaken and Dark Legionnaires, who refer to him as "High Councilor," start beating him and trashing his house at the command of female DL. The wife is hiding as this all take place.
In Haven, Knuckles wants to know where his father is, but isn't really learning anything.
Meanwhile, Locke is dropping off Lara-Le, Wyn, Julie-Su, and Remington. Julie-Su goes to Locke to say thank you to him and she gets the feeling that she knows him. Locke tells her that he's Knuckles' father and Julie-Su starts asking Locke if Knuckles is all right with a concerned look on her face. Remington cuts off the conversation and escorts Julie-Su out the plane. He tells her that Locke is planning on seeing Knuckles and that Knuckles is fine. Remington also says "If I didn't know better, Julie-Su, I'd think you actually cared about what happened to Knuckles!" Locke, meanwhile, is heading to where he thinks Knuckles would be.
Elsewhere, the High Councilor is being dragged through a hallway and asks to make a deal with the female. That comment is overheard by a robot construct, who must Dimitri based on the dialogue.
Remington is trying to get Lara-Le to her apartment, but the roadway is blocked by dingoes protesting their living conditions. Remington asks them all to move out the way of incoming traffic. However, someone starts throwing flame bottles and a riot ensues between echidnas and dingoes. Remington decides to call for backup. In Haven, Remington tells the Brotherhood that he can't call the agency and that he needs their help to get Lara-Le to safety. Knuckles hears his mother's name and tells Archimedes that it's time to get back in action.
Meanwhile, Locke is starting to realize that he was wrong in how he raised Knuckles and is looking for him in the Chaos Chamber, Knuckles' favorite hideaway. Locke is semi-relieved that Knuckles isn't there because he doesn't know what he should say to Knuckles. Knuckles and Archy end up in the middle of the brawl. The fighting stops when General Stryker appears, who believes the dingoes are acting "pathetic" by protesting. When Knuckles asks Stryker want the problem is, Stryker replies that there have been too many promises broken. He also says that if the echidnas don't make good this time on their promise, they'll wish they had destroyed the dingoes earlier.
Elsewhere, the High Councilor is being put under for some surgery despite his protests. Dimitri recalls when he and Edmund presented their plan to Menthor, the High Councilor at the time. Menthor denounced it as heresy because he didn't want Dimitri and Edmund to become big heroes to the echidnas. Dimitri admits that when he was Enerjak, he was "consumed" with his own power, which caused his defeats. This time he plans on being the victor.
In Echidnaopolis, Knuckles and Archy appear where Vector, Espio, and Mighty are. Julie-Su comes up and informs them that the dingoes are upset since the High Councilor hasn't sped up constructing homes for the dingoes. They're protesting now because the election for High Councilor are coming up. She also tells them that Pravda, the High Councilor, hasn't been seen since last night, and his wife is too scared to talk. Knuckles asks Julie-Su how does she know, and she replies that a birdie told her. Vector says that Julie-Su has "friends in low places." Julie-Su just says that Remington asked her to find them all and arrange a meeting.
In another part of Echidnaopolis, the female echidna from the DL is leading some DLs, who are trashing people's home. One echidna tells them to leave them alone, and the female tells her troops to beat him. Back at the new DL base, a DL gets word from "Kommisar," the female echidna, that the insurrection has started. Dimitri is very pleased as Pravda makes an entrance and shouts, "HAIL DIMITRI!"
