Knuckles finally debuted in cartoon form after being in the games and comics. Knuckles' first appearance as a cartoon character was in Sonic The Hedgehog, a Japanese cartoon from 1996. I have stuff on Sonic the Movie, which is the English dubbed version of Sonic The Hedgehog that became available in the USA on September 7, 1999. Sonic Underground marked Knuckles' first appearance on a continuing Sonic cartoon series. There's also another cartoon series called Sonic X that contains Knuckles along with Vector, Espio, and Charmy.
